What have you done to your ride lately?

I had to visit a customer office that is off a rough dirt road first thing this morning. On the way out I noticed a pretty solid banging under the back of the 4Runner. I pulled over to find the top bolt for the rear passenger shock had jumped ship. So I removed the shock and bought some good replacement parts. I was suspicious of the bolt and nut when I did the axle swap with @tex and this confirmed it.

Always go with the gut. I never do and same type stuff happens.

Yeah I just felt that for $40k for a WRX, you should get a nicer interior. But once my wife sat in the showroom floor car at Volvo, she was sold. The comfort, MPG and safety were all exactly what she wanted.

I hear ya, but like Toyota they have been selling like hot cakes so if it's not broken I guess they say F it. Subaru's chief is actually trying to limit growth. They are growing so fast they can't keep up. He wants to cap sales to 1 million a year to "preserve the brands niche appeal".

WRX is basically their shittiest car with 20k in mods. At end of the day no matter how much you polish a turd it's still a turd

I'm just glad I didn't buy an Audi. I'd feel much worse on days like today when I go out to my car and it's covered in dust and scratches from this weekends fun.

Well maybe I won't be wheeling anytime soon... got a few folks interested in the trail rig. We shall see. Fingers not crossed nor am I holding my breath. But for lack of posting it for sale I have interest. Latest guys (two guys that own a shop) seem pretty interested in it. Honestly I think they would do it some justice and it would be perfect for what they want to do. So we'll see.

Probably going to buy this time. The lease has worked out well for her Acura since it just turned 20K miles on a 30K mile lease.
The plan is I want to take over what we get her when my 4 runner is paid off. That way it will not have to be a daily driver and she can get something new. Figure that will be 3 years but may wait till both are paid off.

We couldn't even see an Audi salesman since they were so busy. Plus, it's as expensive as a BMW now so we crossed it off our "to-buy list"

Those things are flying off the lots. Last year we had none in our work parking lot. Now we have 4.
