What have you done to your ride lately?

Bumper looks great,

What epoxt did you use? I am about to redo mine. I used the cheap Rustoleium stuff from Home Depot 10 or so years ago and it is in pretty sad shape now. I think a lot of it is from welding on the garage floor.

I used stuff from Epoxy-Coat.com It got good reviews on garage-journal and I could buy it through Lowes. But the heat from the trucks tires caused it to pull up. Rest of the floor looks fine.

Sean, that's why you need lifts in that garage.

Man what I really needed was a big air over hydro bumper lift to hold that damn bumper in place.

Wish you live closer.. I have a hydraulic crimper vs. that hammer stuff.

I wish you lived closer too. My liver is glad you are in Austin.

Is there a significant difference between the hammer and hydraulic crimps? I was going to put come water tight shrink wrap around the end also.

Yeah, its fuck-tons easier.

Plus you can position the wire as you crimp it. Just makes for a better connection. If you get the wire in the hammer press just right and everything aligns it will be fine.

I read a few tips about making sure the wire is laying correctly and to note what position the connector is in. I figure I will start with that end since the other end is a clamp down connector. Worst case I will leave them a little long and redo those ends later.

I'm sure it will work out. Just trying to plant that seed in your head that you need to move south a bit. :)

Yesterday morning I put on new plugs and wires on my '01 4Runner. Wow that supercharger is hard on plugs. Plug 6 had no electrode left. The drive home was nice but I expect it will take a couple tanks to see if it made a big difference.

My 4 pin trailer plug isn't working on the 4Runner. Found out last night leaving the lake with the boat. Didn't really feel like working on it in the dark so luckily my cousin was still there and pulled the boat home for me. After a quick look this morning, all wiring and fuses look good. I'll have to do some more investigating later.

Or use the same excuse so that your cousin tows it again. :)

It did pull much nicer behind his one ton Ford than it does behind my 4Runner. Its pushing the limits of what the 4Runner will do. I've pulled it to and from the lake 45 minutes away a few times. But that's about the furthest I'd pull it with the Runner.

Started on the rear half.

It will end up being about a 12" dove tail in the rear.

What made you decide to run the rectangle frame all the way back rather than do the entire back out of tube like a typical back half?

I like working with it better than tube honestly. Bent Fab uses a similar method so I kinda mimicked it a little.
