Ordered a new lift today. Went with the BOSS kit from Toytec and added the heavier springs front and rear. Also got some extended rear brake lines. Once it comes in I will be swapping out the Icon and selling it.
That and they use the wrong offset bushings.Their build quality has sucked for the last few years. He, and a bunch of others I've seen, have had seal issues due to imprecise build...
When is the mod day? My replacement shock is due in on Friday. But we are going to New York this weekend. I don't know whose idea it was to go to some yankee state but I don't like it.Ordered a new lift today. Went with the BOSS kit from Toytec and added the heavier springs front and rear. I may install it on Sunday since it is supposed to be delivered tomorrow but if not it will probably be next weekend. When is the mod day? My replacement shock is due in on Friday. Pretty much what @SecretSquirrel said. I already had to send my front coils for a rebuild under warranty due to puking fluid. They said the shafts were not in spec and machined new ones. Everything is fine with them for now but due to many others having issues with them I felt it was a good time to sell it off and still get a decent amount of money for them. The performance of them has been really good so there is that.I'm sure you posted this somewhere else, but I'm too lazy to search. What didn't you like about the Icon setup?
It's a known issue on FJCs, 4Runners and I would assume Tacomas. You need to use washers between the bushings and the LCA tabs. If you don't when you tighten everything down the bushings slip out of place or you have to bend in the LCA tabs.Did you have that issue as well? I think Roger also did, but can't be sure where I saw that.
It's better than Jersey......unless NYC![]()

Unfortunately it is NYC. Luckily it's just 24 hours.

If that happens someone please shoot me and burn my corpse so it doesn't infect others.

And curse someone with Icons? I know it's TO-R but that's just not right. Can we include your FJ in the next TO-R Christmas?

Maybe it's time for a two piece one.Oh yeah that's right. You have a 1-piece DS.
What chu doing drivin so fast?I'm pretty sure the majority of the high pitched squeaking was the UCA bushings (they are now on order) the other noise I was getting a sensation from was a sorta growling under load and off load. I was also getting some vibes at about 75-80MPH. So I am suspecting the DS has something going on in it. That being said I ordered a new one of those as well.
