My 3rd day in a row of not doing shit on the Taco... I know it won't magically get done but I would not mind if a group of elves came tonight and finished shit up. My ambition meter is pegged at Zero.

I did some more cleanup work on the roof rack tonight before dinner. I fell asleep eating dinner so I decided to not push my luck working power tools/ plasma cutter and falling asleep.

Finished up the fuel can mount mod.. adding the flip-up security piece. Had to do a little grinding on the bottom side of the latch because with the weigh (both cans full) and it mounted to the swing-out it was really tight to get the carrier locked into position. Also beefed up the bolts holding it on a bit and added red loctite to them. On thing that kinda sucks is it doesn't full open up. Opens up enough to get the cans in and out just fine, but it won't stay up.. its a two man operation to get them out.. or use a ratchet strap to hold it open. :) Oh well.. its done for now. Now to clean up this fucking mess.

not sure on weight. Ive been flipping it all around by myself. Id estimate it at around 5-600lbs. Not too concerned with weight at this point. Ill make up for it with more woopow. :)

Oil change and tire rotation. Do not ever try to go 30k in a Subaru without rotating your tires. My fronts are cooked. Must have 2" of baldness on the inside. No idea why the factory sets them up with so much negative camber, but Ill be looking into it before the next set gets eaten alive. My rear tires looked perfectly fine, besides the drywall screw that was stuck in one.

I thought "full service" at Volvo meant rotating the tires too. It was my fault for not checking everything they covered but after 30k miles without rotating them, the belts on the front tires were separating. Luckily my wife heard the noise and pulled over to check. We put new tires on the front and she now rotates them every 5k at Discount Tire.
The rear tires were the same as yours minus the drywall screw.
