Never do 30k in any vehicle without rotating the tires. lol

I'm going to see if I can get another 30k out of them without rotating :shifty:

lol

I thought "full service" at Volvo meant rotating the tires too. It was my fault for not checking everything they covered but after 30k miles without rotating them, the belts on the front tires were separating. Luckily my wife heard the noise and pulled over to check. We put new tires on the front and she now rotates them every 5k at Discount Tire.
The rear tires were the same as yours minus the drywall screw.

I just need to grab another Subaru jack or make a insert up for my floor jack and then Ill start doing them myself. Stupied uni-body cars and their weird ass jack points. It barley fit on Ant's Atlas lift this weekend. We had about a sixteenth to spare.

Got the tires on my 4R rotated at lunch today. Discount was slammed so I ended up getting caught up on some remote work from my laptop. So far they said the tires are wearing great and balancing pretty easy. Although they said it would be easier if I didn't have so many gashes in the rings on my rims. lol

Replaced my LF wheel bearing today. Here's the pictures of the old one.
Then noticed my inner CV axle boot is leaking a bit. What clamp do I need to replace that with?

As for the clamp.. I've been using stainless hose clamps for a LONG time and haven't had an issue. Just be sure not to smoke it down with an impact wrench and make sure it clears whatever might be in its path. Shouldn't be an issue. Also, if its just leaking a bit and not torn, squirt some new grease up in there (they make adapters to allow you to do so and sell them at VatoZone.. like this )

Actually.. I mis-spoke... mis-typed? With my old Fox setup I had hose clamps on there for several years (like 5). With my Kings I used an actual band clamp that I bought from RCV when I rebuilt my CV's due to clearance issues... but if I was you.. I'd just put a hose clamp on it. WAY easier. The bottom of the King shock is much larger and was getting in the way to make it clear.

What type of grease is supposed to go in those? Not the same stuff on the drive shaft is it?
I saw someone talking/whining about not using screw type hose clamps because they can "off balance" and catch on things more likely off roading.. So I wasn't sure what the consensus was on using hose clamps.. Seemed easy and strong enough to me.

Installed the engine/trans/atlas over the last couple of evenings. It was nice that everything went in exactly as it came out. No mods were needed to any of the mounts which is usually a problem i have with things. :D

Engine is fully dressed.

Front axle is now on the table for final weld out and a rebuild.

Got an alignment today hoping to hear good news after replacing the wheel bearing.
Firestone told me the LF tie rod is preventing proper alignment. From what it sounded like the guy was telling me one of the nuts was seized so bad that after an hour of heat on it, they barely got it to budge. Didn't understand which part exactly was seized. But I figure it shouldn't matter too much if I replace the inner and outer tie rod. Anyone have any suggestions?
Here's the alignment specs I got from them. Guy also mentioned everything was maxed out trying to get good alignment numbers. Guess it's time for some upgraded UCAs as well.

I'd replace all of them, both sides.. not that much $$. How many miles since you have replaced them, or have you ever?

I used Redline CV grease. As for the being off-balance and catching.. never had an issue. Only thing its gonna catch on is your shock.. just make sure it clears.

I don't think they've ever been replaced and I'm at 132k. After my wheel bearing failed 6 months ago the dealership recommended I replace the tie rod on that side. Probably why this last wheel bearing only lasted 6 months.
