What have you done to your ride lately?

Threw some Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06's on the Subaru. They have one of the craziest asymmetrical treats Ive ever seen. Every block is siped with chamfered ridges + thousands of small ridges within the rain groves and they have multiple wear detectors for checking tread depth visually. Real reason I got them is their winter rating and tough sidewall that extends past the rim of my wheel for some added curb protection should I hit one (I'm due to smack one after almost 3yrs of owning it). Also my AWD eats up the outsides of tires so hopefully these staggered treads that are thicker on the outside edges help out...along with proper rotation for this set.
Those are what I run on the M3 and the 5 and ran them on the 7 too. Great for the price per wear rating too. :)

Got the video wire and power/ground ran into the cab from the rear camera. Still need to tidy up the wiring and then connect it to switched power. But it works!! Also need to rotate the camera a few degrees as its not level at the moment.

Finalized the 7 pin harness on the trailer.. basically just using some Right Stuff to seal the harness in the frame to prevent it from moving and water entry. Also put the cover back on the 7 pin breakout box. Hope to get the break-away box wired up tomorrow.

Glad to hear they are "real world Roger tested/approved". Half the reviews I read online were from derp herders and parrots so always nice to hear good news from someone I trust even though we will have much different driving conditions. Ill let you know how they do in the snow. Took them in the dirt on day one and they were great.

Skeeters have been horrible near me for the first time all year. Found out they LOVE citrus scented hand de-greaser. My hands/wrists/forearms got eaten alive the other night.

Only had them in the snow on the 7. They did fine but they were also assisted by a lot of electronic gadgetry. :)

Ok, got the rear camera all wired up. Got the rear battery monitor all wired up. Got the roof light bar wire ran up to the SPOD. Not connected at this point. Got the hole in the floorboard I drilled for all these wires to go through sealed up nice and to the point they won't rub a hole in a wire. Tomorrow I need to get the phone charger wired up and start work on the in-cab winch controller. Thursday is winch wiring day,

I was very motivated and reminded that life is short. Replaced my crappy grease gun with a less crappy on. Lubed LCAs and driveshafts. I need to put zerks on my leaf spring bushing bosses too.

Removed the front fenders, grille, grile supports and hood. Dry fitted new 2012 front end. Tomorrow I have to weld a copy of cracks and one bracket. Man, I think it looks great. I'll get pics tomorrow after I paint the bumper and mount and adjust.

Hope to put bedsides on tomorrow. I'd love to do it tonight but I think my neighbors might have a problem with the impact yelling at them for an hour or so. :)

Have you read anything about replacing your steering wheel with a newer model steering wheel? Mines getting old and wearing.

Edit: Not going down that rabbit hole. lol

That's Mr Asshole to you
The thing was nice. Still smelled new and the back seats may never have been sat in. I think it should make an appearance on the high water trail.
