What have you done to your ride lately?

I had them on the Tundra for about 6 months. They were great on road. Quiet and smooth with even wear. Not sure what kind of life to expect out of them though. And never had them off-road because #streetqueenbrotruckmallcrawler

This is close to what happened to my father-in-law when he got audited. Thankfully he had another detailed way to audit his miles so he did not get hit too hard.
The IRS rule is not onerous, you just have to be able to prove you drove that many miles for business purposes, you MUST keep an auto log. We suggest Everlance...its an app for you phone that will track everything for you and you can print the log at the end of the year for your tax professional.

How are they for heavy daily driving on road? My work mileage is going down but it is still hovering around 25-30,000 miles a year.

Edit: Did not see the Toyo tires in a 235/85/16 size.
Daily driving they are great. No issues there.

Anyone ran Hankook DynaPro ATMs before? They are more A/T tire than the MT and about $40 cheaper than the Hankook MT each.

Pretty favorable review from FourWheeler
My buddy had em on his F350 and loved em. But they throw rocks like crazy....chipped his undersides pretty bad. But he got 60k miles out of them on a diesel which is crazy.

Any reason you're running the 235/85 and not the 285/75?

On the contrary I always wondered why everyone used 285's especially after I had one of my 255's next to a 285 and the 255 made the 285 look tiny (diameter).

I didn't have to cut/beat/grind anything to fit 255's so it was a no brain'r to me to go with pizza cutters. All my buddies had 285's and they always had fender/frame/pinch weld rubbing issues along with leaks from crappy pinch weld mods.

I did make a little more progress last night.. and it all works. Just need to run the wires up the A-pillar and connect everything up. Works as designed though. Nothing will power on unless I turn the Master Arm switch on.

255/85 in Km2 on my truck with load e.

Some of the old school Maxis 255/85's are taller than 34" (I have one as a spare someone gave me for free). Still rub the frame, but so did my OE stock tires.

I like the height to width profile. Wide enough but not too wide.

One of these days I need to get a good look at one of those 235's next to a 255. Doubt I'd go smaller as my 255's are hole diggers, but that is the point of them. I'm just not a fan when in bottomless mud/sand.

Fair enough, was just curious since most people want MOAR tire

I wanted more tire - just in a different location (diameter). 80% of my stucks were from highsiding myself while being by myself. 285's would require a TON of work compared to doing nothing with the 255's. With the right offset wheels 255's run GREAT. They actually tuck inside my fenders vs rubbing them off.

Decided early on, my move to less "stucks" with open/LSD were keeping my tires on the ground by increasing suspension droop in the rear and increasing clearance for my belly. Not a big fan of the KM2's though. They have horrible side stability on off camber trails. Wide open lugs lead to the rear sliding out downhill a whole lot more than the AT's I had.

Got the Tacoma back today. Rides so much better than before. But now it steers like a boat and has insane amounts of body roll. I'll be putting the stock swaybar back on soon.

Yeah, I get...I was just curious. @drew02a has already sang me the praises of 255's and it will probably be the next tire I run. Pep Boys is running the Maxxis CHEAP

The root weld was hot enough that it was louder than the radio I had going. Then I went back doing a heavy full bead with the wire speed cranked up. I had some issues with the 2nd pass sagging a little on the bottom but the root was good.

Ok, once I got the in-cab wiring all done I started on some "nice to haves".. started by removing 80% of my rock lights. Front ones are fine. Pulled all the 1 watt Ozium aluminum pucks. They still work after 8 years! Replacing them with these.

Olympic off-road rock lights (I think they don't sell them any more).. 3 watt leds in each location. Just gonna weld the brackets to the frame. Fuck it.
