Wired up some Fiam "El Grande" horns (unfortunately they DO NOT play la cucaracha) that've been sitting on my bench for a year. Installed new drier, getting ac recharged tomorrow.
Going to have another wheeling 3rd gen on the forum soon!?!?!
I heard Lexus so here I amToo late. You're gonna have to start your own forum. This is a Lexus forum now.
255/85 in Km2 on my truck with load e.
Some of the old school Maxis 255/85's are taller than 34" (I have one as a spare someone gave me for free). Still rub the frame, but so did my OE stock tires.
One of these days I need to get a good look at one of those 235's next to a 255. Doubt I'd go smaller as my 255's are hole diggers, but that is the point of them. I'm just not a fan when in bottomless mud/sand.
90% of my cheapo LED strip that's secured with 3M has held up. The areas that didn't stick well, I just used clear silicon to reinforce. The key is surface prep beforehand. That makes all the difference.I would not trust 3m to a frame area.
I spent some serious time last night comparing various sizes over the width and weight in a few tire selections. I think I am going to stay with the DynaPro AT-M but go to a P265/75/16 size. I can drop almost 15 lbs from my current tire and 10 lbs from the size I was looking at. I will be going back to 10.4" wide but that is the stock width so not a big deal. Since I am planning more and more longer trips trying to squeeze out some MPG is a big deal; plus I can get out the door with 4 new tires for about $550. Hell, I might even get a matching spare later on for that price.
I am hoping to get back to 17-18 mpg mixed city/ highway and 20-21 mpg for highway. Of course being loaded down with the RTT will knock that down but the higher the number I start with the better the end result.
It's going to chip your undersides like a motherfucker...But you should get great mileage out of them.RIP your paint jobIt's going to chip your undersides like a motherfucker...But you should get great mileage out of them.
It might on the front but definitely not on the back until you get a hi-clearance rear bumper.Hopefully the Schrockworks sliders keep the chips to a minimum. They price matched and then some so out the door for $648 plus a $60 rebate. That is with certs.

Yeah, I get...I was just curious. @drew02a has already sang me the praises of 255's and it will probably be the next tire I run. Pep Boys is running the Maxxis CHEAP
If you play in deep sand/mud/snow I'd avoid the MT's in those sizes. My only experience with MT's is the KM2 on 255's and I am not impressed. Ill be going back to AT's IF I get the truck running and burn through the KM2's. Maximum tread depth + aggressive non-siped lugs = crappy driving in rain/snow/deep sand/mud and they are horrible on off camber trails. Not talking slightly off camber trails - talking slide off the trail kind of camber to the point your butt puckers and you pray. I think if I got 255's in At I would of been much happier.
Funny thing is all my buddys run the KM2's on multiple types of vehicles and all sing their praises in all weather. Goes to show opinions are like assholes - everyone's got one.
