Bummer, I'm interested to see what those diesels are like. Maybe I'll take my ford up there and tell them I'm looking to trade it in and see if they let me test drive.

And man that guy sounds like a real pussy, a free work truck and he's worrying about the small amenities like sliding rear window and the auto tampon disposers, tell him to shut his dick sucker and enjoy a nice brand new free truck, and buy a bed rack for it :D

The Isuzu motors are good

When we test drove them, the diesel seemed quieter than the gas

Lets see.. do I want a couple pieces of metal 12' long in my cab next to my head or up above strapped to the rack? No brainer... in the cab where I can get killed in the event of an accident. Sounds like a plan!!

Some people worry far too much about perception. Some like myself maybe should worry more lol. I get that he wants to be able to take the wife out to dinner without it looking like a work truck - problem is - it IS a work truck. Sometimes we can't have our cake and eat it to.

I checked it out this morning. Bed is super small - but I'm sure it's like the Taco short bed. Has 4 mounts in the bed that seem strong. I already scratched it loading a 4x4 into the bed this morning lol

Reminds me - On my drive in today I had some sharp ass 8' lengths of stainless as my arm rest in the Subaru lol

Sounds like he needs a new wife. My wife would be ecstatic if I got to take her to dinner in a work truck that I didn't have to pay mileage or gas on...lol she would drive that truck everywhere to keep miles off her car

No shit, I'd kill to have a work truck. My cousin scored big when it came to that. He gets a new one every 150k miles (1.5-2 years for him). It's always a rand new SRW one ton loaded out. His company pays for the truck, insurance, diesel for both business and personal use, and will let him mod it however he wants (within reason) and they pick up the bill for it. Ranch hands, tires, wheels, etc.

That's what Ill be pushing for in a year or so if this place gets on the ball and I stick around. As of now I get a hundred a week kicked back as an "expense" for wear and tear. Got company EZ-Pass so I never pay any tolls + company credit card so I do not buy gas. Tack on the company phone and by bills are lacking just how I like them.......mortgage/taxes/gas/electric/water/sewer/cable are my only repetative monthly bills. Another 5-10 years and I hope to cross that mortgage off the list - just got that down to 5 figures of debt.

Yeah it's pretty nice at times but can be a pain when I want to get certain stuff for my hobbies lol

Yeah; did it on my 2001 4Runner. Best thing I did was let it drain and drip overnight before dropping the pan.

I have replaced my fluid before, it wasn’t too bad, just time consuming if the temperature times you out.

Last year iirc, I had Robs shop replace the fluid, and that was worth it. BG synthetic fluid.

What was the name of that shop? I need to stop by there sometime.

Fixed the wiring on my e-locker switch last night so I know when its engaged. Also found out that the nut on my power steering pulley tensioner has backed off which has been causing my power steering to go out intermittently. I thought my pump was going out so I'm glad it turned out to be an easy fix.

Asher Automotive. I had them do mine as well. Well worth it.
Thanks. I'll need to schedule a time to stop by next time I head that way.

We haven't heard from him in awhile, I guessing he got his house put back together.

Does he still have the 4R?
