Update on wifes car. Body shop called. $3700! Mirror was $1400, both drivers side glass to be replaced (front glass is $835, rear glass was $405... those assholes in the glass industry. ) Small dent in rear driver side door. Plus re-tint the windows.

Prob Nippon glass. Wonder if it's lami to keep the noise down? Either way - more expensive the car the more they "can" charge for the glass because they know you need it.

Going to lunch today my passenger pointed to a chip I have in the windshield that's beginning to run......Knew I should of filled it years ago.... Dam things are expensive due to having heated elements laminated into the glass where the wipers sit.

I still have it as of right now. It’s for sale. Not in a huge hurry to move it.

The new truck did pretty well in a 650 mike round trip to Louisiana and back. 17mpg if I keep it at 70-75. Not too shabby.

My favorite use of Rear View mirrors is to tilt them so that the asshole with his brights on or misaligned headlights shine right in the driver's eyes.

Seriously? Maybe I've just gotten used to them, but every time I've flipped them back down I feel like I can't see anything.

New alternator and starter this weekend. Had a 100amp alternator, upgraded to 130amp.

Ended up changing my order to a steel bumper due to the delay for aluminum.

...and I realize that if I ever get hit, it will not tear and crumple like a Dixie Cup. The added fuel cost from the change in weight will be negligible; either bumper will negatively affect my gas mileage to the same degree.

Can confirm. Saw it in person today and picked up his old bumper for my 2018. If I ever decide to go full replacement it'll be one of those.

I absolutely love the bumper. They handed the prisoner teardrop tatt very nicely!

So, most write-ups on the 5 series fan resistor said to replace the fan motor and fan assembly at the same time. I figured, I would 'save' 100 bucks 'cause 'I will be able to get this one done without disrupting the fans. Sure enough, how many weeks has it been? Well, I have a nice speed sensitive tit-tit-tit noise now. Oh yeah, speed sensitive to the fan motor.

Only good thing is, this time should take about 3/4 the time.

You have to access it from the top. So pop the hood and reach down to plug in the controller and the clutch handle.

Cut a hole in the top trim piece to access the winch clutch and to be able to plug in the winch control. Lined it with fender liner.

Also installed an 80 amp breaker that goes to my fuse block.

Got my big boy springs. I'll either get them in tomorrow or Monday. Hopefully this will keep it from squatting when there's more than 100 pounds in the back.
