Got the light bar hooked up to an Air on Board switch. Also got a switch wired in for the winch.

Older dude with the OD green 4Runner. At least I think it was a 4Runner.

Whoa whoa whoa. When did that get a SFA

About three years ago I think. I busted part of the IFS and then found an SAS donor rig for $300 so it was a natural progression. After the swap and associated costs, parting out the old one, and a rebuilding the front axle I still came out ahead a couple hundred bucks and a few spare parts.

Yeah yeah I remember that guy. His son "welded" my rock sliders on my old limo back before I could weld. Put some nice chicken shit on it.

Same same. I am currently working my way through the parts list to link the front axle to resolve some sins of my past.

I mean I could be completely wrong, but isn't the whole point of resis to keep oil from getting too warm...

Those shock socks are a real thing. I won a set at Jambo a few years ago. Tried to give them away and got them to @SecretSquirrel to pass off to someone. Last I heard he still had them.

Yeah they're not actually to keep the oil warm. They're a breathable material that helps keep sand, dirt, salt, road grime, etc off the shafts.

Ordered a new HAM radio. The one I used on the HWM Trip worked great but I didn't like the fact that it had to be placed in a cradle to charge. Made it weird to charge while driving. Found that Baofeng makes battery eliminators for some of their radios, but not the one I have. So I ordered a new radio, battery eliminator, a dash mount, and an external antenna. The antenna was cheap so I'm interested to see how well it performs. I just wasn't ready to drop $50 on a Diamond antenna. I'll keep my old radio as a loaner.

Ordered more parts for my rig. Gas tank skid coming just in time for Jambo. I should be pretty well protected with full skids.
