HOAX DENIER
Wow! I was searching for what shim stack (valving) I should use to re-tune my Fox shocks. I came across a post by Sonny of Down South Motorsports - that guy if effen great. I have heard a lot of race guys that swear by him. I wish I knew about him before I bought mine from a certain off road supplier. I was thinking I was going to hear "just bring them down" or "send them in and we'll see what we can do" - and I would be okay with that. No. I told him the kind of weight that am typically running and what I run when I am loaded (not that kind of loaded!). He comes back and tells me how I should set it up and he's going to send me the shim stack - I thought he was just going to tell me what shims - he plans on sending me the actual shims! I think that is some good will! If I ever need new shocks that he sells, I will be headed his way.
When I called the other supplier in the past saying that the boss on the shock was for an FJ (which it was) and I would like to know if the shock bias would be different for the pickup - I got somewhat of a blank stare. Then "I will get back with you" - well that was a long time ago and it died on the vine.
I just wished there was a good blueprint for our trucks so that you could make a Stage II/Stage III Tacoma - Not to flatter Sean but his truck is the closest thing I found for what I was trying to build.
