To quote Harry Hogge "rubbing is racing"...but that does suck.

Can't believe no one said it would buff out. Guess we really evolved from the TW days lol

Today I finished what turned into a three day project. New inner and outer tie rods, steering rack bushings, and O2 sensor installed. The truck feels much more stable when I hit bumps or potholes now. The O2 sensor nuts were pretty rusted and I called around today to try to find new ones, but there was only one nut in the entire metroplex. I went ahead and reinstalled the old ones and despite using the closed end of a combination wrench, I rounded one of them off when it was going back on. Hope I won't have to change that sensor again... My CEL has been fixed though, so that's nice.

Washed it.. then applied a coat of Mother's CMX ceramic spray. Turned out pretty nice.

That's Mr Asshole to you
I detailed the inside of mine after our road trip. Full of dirt, dust, and gold fish crumbs.

Now I am giving the wife's new 4runner the clay bar treatment and a good coat of wax. Damn paint felt like it lived under a tree at the dealership.

Yeah I plan to do the wifes car tomorrow. Might need to clay bar it first though, her work parking lot is full of trees. I haven't checked the paint. Thanks for the reminder. :)

You're welcome. Now that I'm done it's only on the roof and passenger side. I now suspect it's from being on the truck during transport and getting diesel exhaust blown all over the side and roof. Most spots took 2 or 3 times with the clay to get it smooth.

I want to remove that chin "spoiler" thing on the Ferd... I fucking hate it. They sell a shorter one (designed for 2WD trucks) for $65 or so. But I think that just tossing it might be the way to go. I need to get under there and see if there is anything behind it that would look like shit being exposed.

Remove it if at all possible. Damn EPA and manufactures doing dumb shit like put chin spoilers on 4x4 trucks to gain a fraction of a MPG.

Dude... that was from the auto car wash. @tex is disappointed in the amount applied.
