I've seen them from the factory on FX4 Superdutys, so they must be decent. Will have to add them to my comparison list.

Yes, you'll rub on the body mount at full compression and with your wheels at full lock. Also, you'll rub on your upper control arm as well when aired down. So you'll need to replace those as well. Do you need to do it at the same time? I would say yes, that way you can get a wheel alignment for your new tires and new upper control arms at the same time.So let me ask the dumb question that seems to be covered at nauseum on TW.
Will 285/70/17s rub on my Tacoma? There is so much BS and garbage over there that it's hard to weed out the BS and garbage. I'm pretty sure the general consensus is "yes, they will rub."
I have the FJ trail wheels, so that should give me a more favorable back spacing than the OEM wheels. I don't mind cutting a little if I need to. I'm mainly wondering if I need to replace the UCAs. I mean...I know I should replace the UCA anyway, but is that necessary at the same time?
Shock fluid all over.

Toytec was great to deal with. Didn't have Kings in stock and everywhere I called wont have any for 1-2 months. Went with Toytec 2.5 Alumaseries front and rear. Better suited set up. For my weight and rebuildabe.
I'm getting ready to ditch my 5100s. I have 4 OME shocks sitting in my garage
Got my Tacoma street tuned today. It makes nice smooth power all through the rev band, no knock/pinging anymore, and it really pulls hard over 4000rpm. I elected to have them do it on the conservative side to be safer. He said I could probably squeeze 10-20 more horsepower out of it if we kept going, but where it’s at now should be safe operation from sea level all the way up to the Rocky Mountains. I don’t want to have to hassle with flashing different tunes depending on where I might be driving, so I’m happy with this. Peak boost is 8.6psi and we’re suspecting mid 200s in horsepower. Probably 240-250 on a nice cool day.
The guys who work there have good taste in trucks

Ahhhhh. RIght onnice, they don’t make them for the F150screw, just for the 2&3 fiddys
Very happy to have the pinging gone. Makes me a lot more confident in mashing the fun petal now.Nice! It is real nice having some good throttle response like that.
Lift took just under 3 hours and an hour of that was looking for a bolt that fell off the top of the shock tower into the engine bay.

I think I'm about to put those on my truck in 285/70/17.
One of (if not) the lightest AT tires in that size and has the severe snow rating. I've read a ton of really good reviews on them with the only real negative comments being that they suck in the mud or deep snow...you know, the things that just about every tire is going to suck at.
Well after putting close to 400 miles on these tires so far I have no complaints. I lost a little avg mpg city/highway mix, but not enough to regret the purchase. On the highway they ride nice, little to no road noise and the handling is actually better then the factory michelins it had on it. Have not used them "off road", but in the deep sand in a few patches on my dirt road they seem to do well and on loose gravel they hold the road well. They do pick up and sling timy rocks but thats expected. They must be pretty light because my mpg didn't drop off at all like I figured it would. Also zero road noise.
