What have you done to your ride lately?

damn, sorry to hear about the rollover but glad you’re ok! I vote keep for a trail rig and buy a used diesel. Key is finding one in decent shape without having to refinance your mortgage lol

I don't have the time or space to turn it into a trail rig. Barely have room to park a full size truck.

Meh, not really sure what I would do with a trail rig. I didn't wheel it as it was. Then I'd have to find storage for the truck and a trailer. Not worth it for a couple of day trips a year. Would rather sell it as-is and use the money toward the new truck. Maybe some time down the line I'll have the space for a trail rig and time to actually wheel.

Thought my transfer case actuator on the Tundra was the cause of the intermittent 4wd problem. Opened it up and found it to be in pristine condition. I wish I hadn't done that since it turned out to be totally fine and now I've risked messing up the gear timing and messing up the seal that was clearly working perfectly. Truck has 213k miles on it. I was shocked to find that so clean! Now I guess it's on to troubleshooting the front ADD actuator.

When I select 4Hi, the transfer case actuator moves and there's about 8 seconds of pause, then it moves back and the 4Hi light blinks twice as fast. I think that the transfer case is engaging and then the ECU tries to engage the ADD, the ADD actuator malfunctions somehow and when the ECU gets no response to the command, it reverts the transfer case back to 2wd and faults the 4Hi engagement.

Here's a pic of what I found the 4Hi transfer case actuator to look like.

Miss the good old manual selection lever in the floorboard. My 250 has manual/auto hubs, but I am stuck with a electronic switch for 4x4 and rear locker engagement. Good luck

Yep... miss the old t-case lever on the floor. Saw that Ram is now offering a new push button t-case option in the Powerwagons. Sad. Well its also sad the Powerwagons don't get the Cummins.. another issue. But yeah, maybe throw an Atlas in there along with the SAS. :)

Seems the entire auto industry is doing away with manual anything. This whole world believes it’s better to automate everything so we can make cheeseburgers while tweeting our gram posts and the vehicle takes care of everything in the background, including parking the damn thing now. Sad, but kids growing up today won’t even know how to parallel park, and in 20 years, it probably won’t even be required on the DMV road test to get a license. We won’t know how to get out of our own way if a computer malfunctions.

The ST has that parking feature on it. I've never even touched it, maybe I should lol

No way I'd put SAS money into this Tundra, y'all are smoking crack. I guess I'll pull the front actuator tomorrow, but that's gonna be annoying because I'll have to also get messy with gear oil in order to do that. I have extra oil on the shelf, but I don't think I have any seal maker goop for reinstalling the actuator into the diff.

Wifes Volvo has similar... I have never tried it. I do let it do the "pilot assist" where it drives itself a bit. Kinda cool parlor trick, hands off the wheel and it follows curves and shit. I still don't trust any of that crap though.
