What have you done to your ride lately?

I feel better - ordered! :)

They are slick! I wired mine to a switch in the toolbox (which has a battery) so install was a piece of cake. But they come with plenty of excess wire to mount anywhere you see fit.

LOL.. well I used the Summit Racing (hang on let me find a link.. here we go) relocation kit for the power http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G1231-K/ But I added some 150 amp fuse holders and some other crap :) I was mainly concerned that the battery would short out and burn the truck to the ground..... which someday it might. LOL <please let the electrical failure not occur tonight and my insurance company read this> :D

I am way a head of you... I have 2 200 amp fuses for the same reason. I don't like to be welding when I think I'm wheeling!!

Perfect! I'm still concerned that the winch does not have a fuse but I guess thats me being paranoid.

I used to think that all the time too! It would make a front end collision exciting anyway.

When I had my string of failures with my first two ShittyBilt winches, I got pretty friendly with the staff. I asked them why they don't. He just said, "Cause we don't." I never worried about it ever since! :D

Thats an awesome answer from a vendor. Kudos to Shittybilt for following up a sketchy product with a completely shitty answer. :)

I was looking for some high amperage breakers.. figure a 300 amp breaker (such as this http://www.amazon.com/XScorpion-300-Amp-Circuit-Breaker/dp/B001RS4YOM) might be up to the task of a winch. But under those really heavy loads it would fail.... repeatedly at least. But resetting it would get old I'm sure.. not to mention dangerous.

Right! I'd say once we have one of our friends 'weld' their bumper together, it may be time to revisit. In the meantime... um... what were we talking about? :D

True, my bumper would fail long before a 300 amp breaker would. :)

I really wish Demello would release their plate style front and rear bumpers.

Yeah, I wonder what's up with that? Looks like they are working on releasing a 4G 4runner bumper soon too.

They built the prototype about a year ago (or so it seems)... great looking bumpers IMO. Too bad because I'd love to pull this last piece of AP goodness off my truck.

I think the front bumper is out now, nothing on a rear yet unless you like tube

Its not on the website. I'll give them a ring tomorrow.

The only thing I don't like about that bumper is the amount of stress that is will put on the winch line when winching. Would be nice if it was on the front surface.

I also thought it was funny that Tom (monkeyproof) AP 'winner' of their LT front end thinks that it's a rip off from AP! As if All Pro never did a Napster on any other company - Deaver - cough - Camburg - cough - others - cough!
