He just replaced the old ones due to dry rot.

@Silverback did you put some fuel stabilizer in the gas tank so it runs when you get it inspected next year?

I space out those 120 miles as to not get flat spots. And yes, it does have Stabil in the fuel. :D

The rear seat latch finally got delivered on Friday. Had a chance to put it in this morning. Such a stupid thing to be left off from the factory.

Added a Scosche wireless magnet mount charger to hold the phone for GPS and easy access until I can get the head unit swapped for one with CarPlay. Guess I’ll need to find one with wireless CarPlay now so I don’t have to hook up a USB just for that.

Engine light came back on yesterday. Didn’t even read the code, just assumed it was the same catalyst code that came on last time. So I made an appointment with the dealership I bought it at this morning to have it looked at under warranty. It was the same code but needed more diagnosing tot elk if it was the catalytic converter, O2 sensor, or the module that controls all that. They wanted me to leave my truck for 9 days before they could even diagnose and then said if it was the converter parts would take another 3 weeks. The whole time, they have to keep possession of my truck and then told me it wouldn’t even be covered under the 90 day dealership warranty. So I went to the sales manager and told him to give me a refund and take the POS back. After talking to the service guys and make phone calls for 20 minutes he came back to me and said that it was absolutely something the dealership should take care of regardless of what the warranty said and that the timeline was ridiculous. So he sent me to the muffler shop they use and it’s in the shop getting a new converter already and being billed to the dealership. So can’t say I’m happy that they tried to clear the code, sell me the truck, and hope it wouldn’t come back and cost them money but at least they owned up and took care of it in the end.

That shits crazy. The one here wanted us to drop off our shop trucks and leave them for a warranty repair. I told them no, to just order the shit and let me know when it arrives. I can't afford to leave 2 shop trucks down for weeks waiting on some bs to hopefully show up.

That’s what I told him. Just make me an appointment 9 days from now and I’ll bring it back then. He told me once they make a work order they “legally” take possession of the truck and I can’t leave with it. I already knew I wasn’t leaving it at that point so I didn’t question how legal that actually was. But sounded like a bunch of bullshit to me.

Local dealership pulled that shit as well. It was for the fuel line I broke. They said it would be 7 days before they could even look at it. I talked to the guy, with some reason, and told him fine.. but order the part now as we know its broken and it will take several days to arrive. I shouldn't have been driving it anyhow. That was on Monday. On Thursday he called and said it was ready. Guess I got lucky.

That "legal" line is funny considering how many Toyota dealerships would process a TSB repair sheet, order the part, and then let you bring it in for repair once the part arrived.

It's some new bs they are pulling. Dodge and Toyota do it here too. No idea about chevy, not dumb enough to have any in my fleet lol

Driver side rear shock started leaking fluid at around 44k. Dealership said they couldn't tell me if it was under warranty without having the vehicle in their possession. Another load of complete BS. Told them I wasn't driving down there if it wasn't covered under warranty. Had to wait for a callback from a "Senior" advisor. It is not under warranty.

You need to make friends with a service advisor and a salesman at your local dealership. It helps.

All the closest dealerships are mega dealerships. You never get the same person twice. I hope to not have enough issues to befriend one....though at the present rate of Ford quality, I will be buying them bottles of whiskey before you know it.

I'm just going to buy the shock and replace at home.

If I'd known you were looking at F150's I could have sold ya mine 2015 with 85k miles. Its been a great truck, only 3 recalls, 2 were just BS and 1 was the power brake booster; known to leak. I couldn't be more happier with it.
I just need 3/4 or 1 ton. After the dust settles from moving etc. I can start looking again for a HD.

Was there after market exhaust on that truck?

My recommendation is to have the PCM updated or reflashed after any sensor replacement.

Mine is relatively small. I have 95% Ford in my fleet of small vehicles and that's all I drive personally anymore so I've gotten to know the service writers there. Belive it's only 4-5 of them and their boss. I've even gotten them to come to my shop to reflash the ecms on 30 Transits to limit the speed to 65 before. When it comes to issues I really only get those on the Dodges and Toyotas.

I wasn’t looking at F150s. Was looking for a Tundra and came across this truck and it fit the bill and price was right so I jumped. It’s a 2015 one owner as well and had 82k when I bought it. It’s completely stock.
