Got the GR up on the lift for the first oil change I did after the dealer included ones.
Tough getting the lift arms on the body with such a short wheelbase so I had to use the front subframe mounts to be able to get a good stable lift on it.
Picked up a few cheesy Etsy finds for it to add some bling, some GR aluminum valve caps
Some GR inserts for the cupholders
And found this OEM add on, had to order on fleabay some guy got them shipped in from Japan, some Toyota seat belt covers. Apparently not available in the states as an add on but overseas you could get them. They add a little bling and a little comfort. Waiting for the snow to melt to be able to take it out on the roads again. It's AWD but the ground clearance is shit and the tires are made for track racing not snow

You probably added 25 horse to it. I heard the GR valvecaps are good for 4.25 horse per cap.

that’s being a little conservative. 4.25 at the crank but the dyno shows only 2.5 per cap at the wheel

Those look like reverse threaded Icelandic caps that @fsbrain03 has a patent on.
This place I am hunting this mont has ranch road that is straight up mud being compressed and made worse by a big John Deere pulling a dairy waste wagon to spray the field. It is as bad as it sounds. I am going to have to wash the rig every single week.

Got the new alternator installed on the Ferd, she's working good and charging once again.
Was chasing a misfire on my tacoma on the #2 cylinder. I had swapped coil packs and that was not the issue. Next it was to check spark plugs. Put a new one in the #2 cyl and the codes cleared and it ran fine. I took that as an omen to change the other 5 as well. These plugs only have about 30k on them but I think they said that's the recommended replacement time? Here's the one that failed causing the misfire, doesn't look too awful. All removed plugs were about .02 wide on the gap but that shouldn't be any issue for a misfire.
Also replaced my Kubota's battery. I noticed it was slow to turn over this last snow storm even being on the tender. This was the original battery so it lasted 10 years, not alot of complaints there. I threw in a Wallyworld battery.

Now that the Sammich Maker has her Mazda CX-50 I guess the 2006 Tacoma PreRunner is "mine" again. I have been really worried something in the transmission was getting ready to explode due to a "shutter & shake" as the torque convertor locked up in the 35 mph range. I went down the rabbit hole and compared a few knowledgeable theads on TW and a few other similiar forums with the same transmission.
Little history - when Toyota first sold the 4.0 V6 w/ auto 4 speed they sold the trans as a sealed unit needing only fluid changes ever 100k miles. In a few years that was quickly proven wrong but not aggressively published by Toyota apparently. Before the end of the 2nd gen Tacoma / 4th gen 4Runner the service would be a fluid change every 60k miles and a filter change recommended ever 120k miles apparently.
I have done the drain and fill fluid changes but never a filter change. Today I added a recommended additive to deglaze the clutch pack and drove it around. I noticed it was shifting better at the end of 30 miles so I feel confident I am on the right track. Next I am going to order fluid, filter, and additive to do a basic service on the transmission.
Overally it will be nice to have the Tacoma back as a trusted DD again so I can keep some miles off the 2001 4Runner. In fairness the Taco has 378k miles and the 4R has 428k miles.

I replaced the blower motor in the 2006 Tacoma today. The simplicity of the process is beautiful. I really wish modern vehicles were this simple for everything. I will be happy to have the HVAC blowing strong again for a whole $35.

Yeah, I did not exactly fit under the dash or cab. I was mostly outside leaned in.

Took my Corolla to get its first recall taken care of. Didn’t have the symptoms of blank cluster but wanted to get the update. 3 hours later at the dealer and it was finished

I had a guy come by and replace the windshield in both my Accord and F350, both have been cracked for several years and finally figured I might as well replace them . Also now that the weather has lightened up I decided to restore the headlights on the Accord as the car is 12 years old now and starting to shown signs of aging. I used the Sylvania kit based on the youtube guy "project farm" review, it seemed to have cleaned them up decently, let's see how long they hold up before needing to be done again I guess. Driver side was much worse off than passenger but they came out pretty decent in the end I think. The kit was only $20 so I can't really complain too much, def cheaper than sourcing new (oem or aftermarket headlights). Plus replacing these headlights requires the bumper to be removed which I don't feel like doing.

I did the headlight restore on my Tacoma once. I did not seal or wax the lens material which allowed them to fade again.
