Well I thawed it out but it still isn't working, outside compressor is turning on but the air handler isn't kicking on so no air is flowing through the vents. When I turn it on cool and turn the fan on the pipes begin to frost after a couple mins, I'm thinking the breaker may have tripped? Didn't have time to mess with it yesterday, got home and realized it wasn't working, troubleshooted for a bit then called our home warranty company. Turns out their doing maintenance on the systems (?) and I can't file a service claim till Weds! I was bickering with them telling him how thats BS for a while then I just packed my shit, loaded up the dog and headed to my parents house. I'm going back over after work to do some more trouble shooting, replace filter, check breaker, etc...any other advice?

It was actually 80 cash...
guess it'd be worth the drive, they get you in and out quick?
45mins
If it was a breaker then the outside unit wouldnt come on (the transfomer for 24v control is in the inside unit) you either have a bad fan relay (circuit board) bad blower motor, or it could just be the run cap for the blower motor.
Damn, they must not have much going on durring the day. Do they make you fill out a form with your address so they can come steal your cats at night?
... I used to work with a guy who would immediately break out the multimeter and start shooting wires anytime a part failed.. never checked the circuit breaker first.. it bit him in the ass MANY times. Glad thats a simple fix.It was the breaker...![]()
Then how was the outside unit running, stick contact or is a pretty old Trane/Lennox unit with transformer outside? Or an internal breaker in the inside unit.
Yeah its all electricMakes since now, electric heat/heat pump then? Get ready for future freon leaks and compressors shitting out on you, goodman/amana ate junk.
