This is always what I think when I hear Beer can chicken. I always presoak my beer chicken before I grill it.Not really lunch today but it will turn into prepped meals for the week.

It' funny you posted this. I have never actually done beer can chicken before. Discovered the beer cans were still full when I pulled them off. I presoak mine in a ziploc bag for up to 24 hours (any further past that amount of time doesn't benefit you any taste wise). Anywhere from 6-24 hours is a good soak for chicken in beer. I buy the 40oz Shiner's for $3 and use those. I heat the grill up to 350°, put the chicken on and rotate the pieces every 5 mins for 20-30mins (depends on how thick the chicken is).It' funny you posted this.
