The plug kit was recommended from a guy at work; they use it on the equipment at work with good success.

It looks like you are ready. Tomorrow is my day to put my lower control arms on, new spindles with newly burned TC gussets (by a guy that built a very famous guys race 'trucks' :) ) and get it aligned. Otherwise I think I'm prepared! lol - I know we will be good. I've been enjoying running the trip through my head and trying to time it right.

Do you have tire chains?

Prinsu rack has been orders to replace this Rocky Mountain RackaCrap. There will be some suspension stuff getting ordered once I get home and check a few things.

The front ToyTec shocks were already over 50k miles before I left out on this trip. I am impressed with how well they handled the trip but not impressed enough to go back with them. I plan on doing some decent Fox shocks front and rear. I am debating air bumps for front and rear also; probably just going to do fronts though.

I am also going to pull the trigger on a mounted truck radio for GMRS use. We used channel 20 this trip and it worked out really well. Given the terrain, distances and my handheld with external antenna setup we still had reception out to around 6 miles when we tested it. The only issue we had was my cheap hand mic had issues and when one of us was behind a peak/drop in the road then it was out for a minute until the rig was clear of the shadow (but that is a normal thing).

FTFY. If you're going to upgrade, do it right from the get go. Icon and Fox shocks aren't the way to go.

And if you do air bumps in the front, then you'll need to do them in the rear because your rear won't be able to keep up with the fronts.

X2...

I know first hand Fox finally started using aluminum for their remote resi's but I know their shock body's and all their mounting hardware rust out about 100X faster than my Kings.......even after I stripped off their crappy clear coat and applied my own they still rusted VERY QUICKLY. Iron oxide mounting screws are used by companies that either don't care or don't do proper R&D (don't care lol). Only reason I got them was because they were the only brand at the time to get me the droop I wanted with a bolt on shock. No idea how good they "ride" - never broke in my new rear leaf pack yet so I could adjust my shackle flip kit lol

Alright... the Kings have been ordered. I ended up pushing my riding mower stash and my new suspension stash piles together but the shocks are ordered. The bump stops will be later down the road if I think I still need them after the Kings are installed.

Now to order the actual maintenance stuff I should have ordered.

You are all enablers and assholes. lol

So April 2017 I replaced the driver side front wheel bearing. It looks like I will be replacing the passenger side front wheel bearing asap now. I ordered a full set for both sides so I may give it a go at home before taking it to a shop. This time I will have the time needed so I can do a few other things while I have the spindle off.

@Silverback too late; already running Camburgs. Thanks for trying though! I think I am good for a while. I did spend some time going over URD's website trying to decide if I wanted to get one of their supergrip 2.1 pulleys. I just do not want to open that can of worms with the fuel systems, upgrades, and custom maps. I have had great success with my supercharger and do not want to screw with that.
