Looks better than mine with twice the mileage

Thanks, it has a few dents and scrapes but most of them are low key or out of sight. It will be getting a healthy dose of motor TLC due to the mileage over the next few months.

@Taco Loco hell no- if I need big cash fast I will just go to NavyFed. They have always been good to me in the past but hopefully not having the payment will give me the freedom to get a few things straightened out without having to rely on credit.

Just does not look right without a roof rack of some sort. Dropping it off at Tandem for timing belt/water pump work tonight. Then when I get it back Friday or Saturday the Matterhorn will be ready to go on.

Then the 270* awning will be next.

Even with it being 100 degrees out today I managed to finish mounting the Matterhorn roof rack. I only have 4 of the 6 cross bars in right now; going to work on a few mounts with the other two before putting them in. I also need to order two spares to mount to the bottom of my RTT.

But so far I like it. I built my own roof mounts since I did not trust old thin extruded aluminum to be my mount point.

Messed around with the Roam bat wing today some. I have plans to build stronger mounts (because that is what I do according to my sammich maker). But it looks like it will be a pretty nice setup; sammich maker approves. It looks a lot better when everything is pulled around and tight like it should be. This is just rough testing.

I was messing around with measurements for the awning and RTT on the new rack tonight. Everything comes together in such a way that I need to order two more crossbars to mount to the RTT for attaching to the rack. Just another step to get closer getting it all converted over to the new rack system.

Yeah; just wish I had ordered the extra crossbars when I did the initial order. Oh well - the good news is it looks like I dropped almost 2" off my over all height. with the new rack and rail system.

Is there a place that sells that 80/20 aluminum locally?

Will have to call around. They sell it at $26 for a precut and drilled section; but I think these last two bars will round out everything I need for this build. If I put a rack on my sammich maker's Tacoma I will try harder to find a cheaper source.

Want some parts? Might part / sell the runner as I've lost interest lol, actually know for a fact I am going to sell the runner just don't feel like putting it together in this abysmal heat.
