Yeah heating it up and trying to take out the plug with a larger diameter bit + M12 impact didn't budge the drain plug.So my youngest son and I, just did all the fluids on his Trail 4R. And his front diff did the same. That drain plug does not have a high metal/iron content. The fluid up front was clear and I just pumped it out and refilled with new. After I couldn't budge the drain plug, I heated it up around the plug it with map gas torch and tried that, and that's when the 10mm hex stripped on me. I think I'm gonna order a new plug and tackle that on the next service. Let me know how your efforts go.
Man, the E3's with a 100k miles on them that I pulled out looked just fine honestly. The OEM Denso spark plugs that I just pulled out with 5k miles already had buildup on them on the passenger side bank of the engine.I have heard the E3 foul up quicker, but that is just what I have heard. I picked up NGX iridium to change mine soon.
Mine was seeping but I didn't see any spots on the concrete (it might've been caught by the skid plate and that's why I didn't see anything on the concrete). My steering fluid reservoir was about half full. It's nice having a stiff, stable steering wheel again. Was your steering rack leaving spots on the concrete or just seeping? Mine has been seeping a bit, probably won't mess with it until I see more drops
