So my youngest son and I, just did all the fluids on his Trail 4R. And his front diff did the same. That drain plug does not have a high metal/iron content. The fluid up front was clear and I just pumped it out and refilled with new. After I couldn't budge the drain plug, I heated it up around the plug it with map gas torch and tried that, and that's when the 10mm hex stripped on me. I think I'm gonna order a new plug and tackle that on the next service. Let me know how your efforts go.
Yeah heating it up and trying to take out the plug with a larger diameter bit + M12 impact didn't budge the drain plug.

Ordered this kit to replace my front diff bushings. While trying to get my front diff drain plug out, I noticed the bushings are toast.

My 8-year old Odyssey battery finally lost a cell. So I ordered a full size Odyssey battery to replace it, a group 27F AGM.

I really don't recommend Odyssey batteries unless you already own their proprietary battery charger/conditioner (which I do). What noone talks about these batteries is every 6 months you have to recondition it with the charger or it'll just go dead one day in the parking lot with no warning.

This past saturday I swapped out the OEM spark plugs to E3 spark plugs (I'm hoping to get my 2MPG back).
Replaced the front brake pads.
Replaced my 10 year old 240A Mechman alternator with a new 240A Mechman alternator.
And I welded up some body cracks underneath the battery tray.

I have heard the E3 foul up quicker, but that is just what I have heard. I picked up NGX iridium to change mine soon.

Man, the E3's with a 100k miles on them that I pulled out looked just fine honestly. The OEM Denso spark plugs that I just pulled out with 5k miles already had buildup on them on the passenger side bank of the engine.

Got my truck back from the shop:
Full brake flush and bleed (truck badly needed this).
Replaced my leaking steering rack, outer & inner tie rods.
Got my stripped front diff drain plug out and replaced those with the Lexus hex-head drain plugs.
Replaced my front diff bushings.
Replaced my fan clutch.

Was your steering rack leaving spots on the concrete or just seeping? Mine has been seeping a bit, probably won't mess with it until I see more drops

Mine was seeping but I didn't see any spots on the concrete (it might've been caught by the skid plate and that's why I didn't see anything on the concrete). My steering fluid reservoir was about half full. It's nice having a stiff, stable steering wheel again.
