Picked up a Morris Mule today.

full

Have the dimensions on the box and overall trailer? That thing looks like it would be easy to tow and have enough storage space to be ready to go at a moments notice.

I drove up to Princeton today to purchase. Nearest dealer to me.

Pretty cool. I like the simplicity of it. For someone who doesn't weld like me that's a great foundation to build upon.

Really like their sizes and setups. What other plans do you have for it?
It's a simple trailer so it'll likely stay simple. For now it's getting matching 1st gen Tacoma wheels, new tires, a lock n roll hitch and my RTT on the rack. Mid term I might get an awning. Longer term, I'm thinking a battery, fridge, solar, maybe a water tank.

Speaking of battery. I've had my Diehard Platinum in the truck for almost 6 years. It's still going. I understand they don't sell them anymore.

Sounds like we have real similar ideas for trailer uses. I was looking at mounting a water tank under the deck between the frame rails. Maybe at some point setting up an auxiliary fuel tank the same way with an electric fuel pump for transfer. This type of setup will keep the weight low and not take up bed space.

Yeah Platinums are no longer sold.. but Batteries Plus sells the X2 power which is the same thing.

and with a much higher price compared to the platinum.

I have heard very good performance reviews from the AutoCraft Platinum AGM batteries.
Clear the cache off internet browser, go to advanced auto and they will offer 20% off coupon, 2 weeks ago it 25% off, it’s free to ship to home or store pick up, it comes out roughly $100 cheaper, last time I compared the x2 vs Autocraft for the Ford, the AutoCraft had a higher cold CCA and almost double the reserve minutes, the x2 does have a 5yr replacement vs 3yrs autocraft.

I have not ordered a battery yet, I was just online with Advanced Auto, add items to your cart and leave it there for 15mins and the 25% coupon pops up with you submitting your email

Depending on wheel/tire size, I might be interested in them.

This is off-topic of the trailer, but why do you use 3 different fluids in the x-fer case, front and rear diffs? I've been replacing all mine with Lucas 80w-90 every 30k since 30k and currently at 137k. I've always been happy with it and like not having multiple types of fluid.

I haven't used Mobil 1 in the transfer case in sometime. I've been using Lucas, same weight as front diff. I've been using a heavier weight in the rear because the e locker rear tends to break. More cushion is my thought.

I used to follow the recommendations until I burn up my fluids in my rear. Then I changed to 15k intervals (mechanical LSD in a 8.4). Never changed to Synthetic because of my 15k change intervals and LSD's not liking it at all.

Yea, I change every 30k miles. I think 60k is the recommendation in the manual.

I think the recommended is 30k, as that is what I have been following. I didn't think about the e-locker vs non-e-locker diff. I guess that makes sense. I'll keep doing what I'm going for now.

Well then I must be doing it every 15k then. Makes sense, I just did it in October.
