I added some of my pics to the gallery. Working on trimming the Gopro footage down, I'll post that here when it's done.

Here's some of my GoPro footage slimmed down to ten minutes or so. Audio sucks, so I'd just mute it.

I like your editing style that cut out my two resets on that first trail. lol The 4:15 mark is where I nailed the skid plate.

It was as much about keeping the video shorter and less boring than hiding your restarts, don't worry. :D You couldn't see much of the back-and-forth to get off of it in the video, so I just removed it.

@italynstylion you didn't wheel with your tent on? This looks like good practice at this park...Makes sure your rear shocks are up to the job.

@italynstylion @unevolved So that rock I plowed into and got hung on did more damage than I thought to my RCI skid. I am probably going to shoot them an email with the attached pics so as to give them some real world feed back. Back story is that I was coming down a pretty steep incline and ended up plowing right into a rock - it stopped all forward movement and had no budge to it. I reversed out and went around it. The rock did not appear to be that high but I found out I was wrong.

In fairness I would have expected a metal skid plate to have taken some damage too.

Yeah a metal plate would've bent as well...

I will have my tent on next time I go up there. I am a little concerned about the tree limbs though.

I didn't this time but I had it on when i was at Barnwell Mountain a few weekends ago. It performed flawlessly. I honestly didn't even notice it back there. The rack is stellar. Perfect height if you ask me.

Aerodynamic wise it definitely is the perfect height. Wish it had worked out with my cooler height and awning setup but am glad it works for you!

It was kind of ironic that our lunch discussion over soft vs metal shackles and winches came into play after lunch. We found a nice like Suzuki Samuri rig with a busted throttle cable. He had no place in back to connect to so I used my soft shackle from Trail Toys to go around his bumper. It worked great for getting him back onto the hard road and then back to his trailer.

Overall the it was a good day wheeling and now I need to get to Gilmer or Hidden Falls pretty soon.

Last time we flew to San Antonio I sat next to a guy that had a first gen 4R. He only had good things to say about it.

Its like Katemcy a bit.. tons of traction. But also places you can get yourself in trouble if not careful.
