It's aluminum. Same shit I drink beer from. What did you expect?![]()
The 4:15 mark is where I nailed the skid plate.Yeah a metal plate would've bent as well...@italynstylion @unevolved So that rock I plowed into and got hung on did more damage than I thought to my RCI skid. I am probably going to shoot them an email with the attached pics so as to give them some real world feed back. Back story is that I was coming down a pretty steep incline and ended up plowing right into a rock - it stopped all forward movement and had no budge to it. I reversed out and went around it. The rock did not appear to be that high but I found out I was wrong.
In fairness I would have expected a metal skid plate to have taken some damage too.

@italynstylion you didn't wheel with your tent on? This looks like good practice at this park...Makes sure your rear shocks are up to the job.
I didn't this time but I had it on when i was at Barnwell Mountain a few weekends ago. It performed flawlessly. I honestly didn't even notice it back there. The rack is stellar. Perfect height if you ask me.@italynstylion you didn't wheel with your tent on? This looks like good practice at this park...Makes sure your rear shocks are up to the job.
Aerodynamic wise it definitely is the perfect height. Wish it had worked out with my cooler height and awning setup but am glad it works for you!I didn't this time but I had it on when i was at Barnwell Mountain a few weekends ago.
