I go camping for a long weekend and ignore my cell phone 99% of the time and the 1% was when I was streaming Pandora. I come home to find out I've been tagged on Fakebook by friends at the exact location we were at. Not only do I not want people knowing I'm on vacation so they can go rob my house, but I'd rather not have everyone know where I go camping especially when most of them have 500+ "friends" that are nothing of the sort. Been down this road so many times....I think it's time to just start camping solo.

Had a great time camping last weekend. Had owls and coyotes all around us as usual. Even a timber rattler came out to say hello and sun himself on our beach.
We could use some rain. The river we were camped at was down about 4' in depth from where it normally is. Kayaking sucked due to the low levels. Seemed like we walked most of the 9 mile run we were on, but that's 100% my fault for never checking the depth gauges online the day of.

We used to do that to try to find water moccasins. What the fuck were we thinking. I don't think we realized how poisonous they were!!! 
Putting the truck back together took a bit longer than I had hoped. Instead of the desert, we shall head to the mountains and see if we can freeze our butts.

4 days and 3 nights of R&R completed at a old cabin on a nice lake. So hard to get back up to speed at work today. Really starting to think about earning less and working less so I can enjoy life more. Makes me wonder if I want to be "up to speed" running around the rest of my career or if I'd be happier with less material goods and working a slower pace. I tried that 5 years ago and while I was happier and stress free I was bored out of my mind.
That's the biggest problem for me. I can only relax for so long...

I lasted a year then one of my buddy's called me up and offered me a job and I jumped at the chance for chaos again. I need to be more mindful of what I wish for.

So today I entered this contest that Copenhagen sent me in an email.
They have them once ore twice a year and one is always during hunting season. I clicked the button on this crappy game thinking I wasn't going to win anything as usual. Then it said I won this: a Fogo Adventure Gaget. I'm like great I win a piece of shit prize. So I google it and this is what I found.

Looks kinda cool I guess. And it lists for $ 300

That $179 Bluetooth walkie talkie is one of those items. Now don't get me wrong, I do think this and the Bluetooth deal need to go on the Sean Needs to Test page.
