Camping Gear Thread

same here... packed a set of new clothes for every day + emergency gear should I fall in the water. Ended up coming home wearing the same clothes I was wearing when I left except for undies and socks. Those get changed daily.

Same exact thing I did for the Moab trip and this past weekend at Jason's ranch. Next time I go out to Jason's place, it'll be a rifle, pistol, cooler and a backpack. I need to fix my over-packing issue.

This is about the way I pack already. I tend to bring a few extra pairs of socks; old Marine Corps habit. Other than that I only pack the essentials.

No WAY! I learned that lesson the wrong way many moons ago. Never run or hike in shorts commando if you like your Johnson. I messed mine up on the dam inside of the zipper. Id rather shit my pants then deal with a johnson injury. The pain after reminded me of "something about Mary" when he got his frank and beans stuck in the zipper.

Saturday we were tent camping 'by the river' in Kerrville.


Sunday, we went to the Pacific War Museum and WWII Combat Show, really nice place, your museum tickets are good for 48hrs, tons of reading if your a history buff. Young kids move through museums too fast.

The Navy actors also reminded the Marines, "No the Marines do not walk on water!"
