after years of using the regular I decided to try the premium this month... pretty sure it's the same stuff in different bag for a little more $. if anything it might be a little less sugary with a little more bite, but I can't be sure. I wish I saved one pack of the reg to compare side/side

Ez up came in today I bought during their sale. Little surprised on the camo pattern.

When I was looking at their website I saw this pic and said to myself.....that's a weird pattern with interesting squiggles but will stand out over the white on white Ive had the past 20+ years so screw it. I did no further research and pulled the trigger.

Today I open up the box and find out Ive become a advertisement. Wonder how much my checks for being a billboard will amount to? I'm not that pissed i'm going to try and return it. Just pissed I didn't look into it more and at the same time glad it's not worse ~ It could of been dicks or some crap lol

Well if people complain about the advertisement you can tell them to go find some other shade somewhere else lol

I'm just crazy. Never been a big "brand" guy. Never worn a Nike swoosh or anything like that. About the only stuff Ive got with branding larger than the smallest of logo's is some Marmont or Black Diamond gear.

Tarp fabric isn't what it used to be but hopefully the new stuff with silver backing will block more light. I wasn't about to pony up for their new 100% black out stuff thats 2x as much. My old white Ezup's were lanterns at night and the skeeters loved it. Ill also appreciate the new clips. The old velcro sucked when the wind is howling.

Spent all last night trying to figure out how to fit 10# of camping/paint balling/kayaking crap into a 5# Subaru and my conclusion is it won't fit. Going to axe the kayak and it's gear so I have more room for the rest of my crap. I can always rent a yak if I want to go that bad. I forgot how many tools and how much gear there is for paint-balling when I bring spare parts/guns/tanks and everything I own just in case anything breaks.

No roof rack?

Ive got a strong rack (aftermarket crossbars on the factory sidebars), just no box for it.

Nope, just roof cracks in the body panels lol (@Oswego offload that Subi and get another one before it gets worse!)

Yea, the engine is loosing it's umph. At least it doesn't have a frame to rot apart on me. Just 1 million uni body spot welds to crack then rust more that they already have. lol

Picked up a little KA-BAR to go with my BK22. The blade is 3" with a 0.1" spine. Not bad for under $20.

I've got a few pieces of new gear that I really like. The first one I got good use out of during our trip to Big Bend Ranch SP. I ended up buying second one for our Colorado trip this summer. The Hydrapak Expedition 8L water bottle. I found them to be quite durable and 8 liters of water is quite a bit. We could have used 2 out at Big Bend. They're reusable and fold up compact when empty. The dispensing tap pours quite slowly, so I've found that piece almost unusable.

The second we used in our recent trip to Colorado and will be replacing a roll of artificial grass we like to carry. The ARB Mesh Multi Mat. It may be a bit pricey, but the quality of the material is quite good. I do hope it's as durable as it feels. We used this at the base of our RTT ladder. It did well during some light rain to keep the dirt below the mat and let the water thru. We go to the beach quite a bit and will be testing the mat out next month in the sand.

I picked up 2 Frontrunner Wolf Pack boxes to replace a single large Plano box I was using for camp gear. They double stack quite nicely and fit perfectly in the offroad trailer. Only concern I' ve got are the plastic clips they come with. They seem flimsy, time will tell. These boxes will compliment the 2 Frontrunner Cub Packs I've been using now for several years. Those are smaller boxes that we use for food storage when camping.

Notice any leaking from the Hydropacks? Ive been looking for a way to transport water in summer for quite some time. Right now I have the big ass blue cheap 5 gallon big box store kind but it always leaks at the tap so I don't use it. I usually end up filling a bunch of stainless steel thermal bottles like I have to do in winter but they are heavy and a PITA generally.

At this point the only leaking issue I had was the result of me not tightening the cap enough. I've got 2 of those blue jugs you're talking about and both of them leak. I've stopped using them and bring 2 of the 2 gallon rotopax for water other than drinking. They haven't leaked yet either.

Sounds good. I only keep my blue jugs around in case of a hurricane or sh*t hitting the fan @ home. I like the Rotopax and all their accessories - just not their price and size. I like the jug you have because when it's not full it doesn't take up a ton of room like the others.

Or their shitty mounting system that breaks off on the trails.

Yea, I'd stay away from that mounting. Seen the locals have some issues with that. Pretty sure Ant had issues, but not 100% sure.

We use those 5 gallon blue square jugs all the time in Scouts, zero issues....
