They are AMAZING about out of warranty coverage. After 10 years, they said if you send it to us, and we can fix it, we will, FO' FREEEEEEEE!!!

CALL THEM

Second this. ARB customer service is amazing in my experience.

They replaced the fog lights on my bumper out of warranty for free. Just because I asked the question.

I had the opposite luck. Not only would they not give me some $7 shock bushings, they wouldnt even sell them to me.

Never ended up camping out back but I did test the cooler. Friday night I put 24 miller lite 12oz cans that were already cold from my fridge into the 25qt cooler and a 5# bag of ice. Drank all but 4 beers Friday and Saturday and it's still got most of its ice. Day or two more and it will be out I'd guess, but overall I'm extremely pleased. Never had a real good cooler so impressing me is easy ~ My old cooler would of needed some ice added Saturday for sure.

I like fero rods. Couple years ago as a stocking stuffer @ Christmas I put together very basic survival kits for the whole family. Few Bic lighters, few ferro rods, few fuel gel tabs, 2 small waterproof flares, bunch of waterproof matches, mid priced compass, water tablets, a lifestraw and I think thats it. They all looked at me like I was crazy except my nephews. I bought in bulk and was making kits for myself up then thought of them.

Ive got a whole pelican case full of just that stuff for bugging out but bigger better filters/etc. Water and fire all in one spot - about all you really could need to live in a wet environment.

I have a few boxes of Titan Stormproof matches. They are huge, you can put them underwater or in dirt while they are burning and they won't go out.

Actually have quite a few items for starting a fire, fat wood, magnesium shavings, the little fire starter packets, the fire starter powder, UCO Behemoth fire starters, these little things called tumbleweeds (IIRC) which @bakerla showed me, plus a bunch of other things. I have had ferro rods in the past, still have them, but they are not as big as this one. My favorite fire starter is a propane torch though. LOL

These are the Behemoth fire starters.

Supposed to be camping this weekend. Chick who I'm friends with invited me, but I'm pretty sure I'm skipping it. They got crap sites in the middle of a marsh so the bugs and heat will be insane. My #1 rule for summer camping is lake or stream side only..... not middle of the woods near a wetland full of bugs that bite no matter what you put on that melts your skin.

+ She will have her two kids and her friends will have their kids. Ive got no issues with kids, but we are talking 1-4 year olds. Last year it was insane with toddlers running around. Parents are all very good at their jobs raising them and the kids are good listeners that will make great future citizens, just not relaxing to have to worry about toddlers falling into the fire, sitting on a black widow, getting bit by a water snake (all things I stopped from happening at last years trip). I think it's great that they have them out and about so early on when others would shelter them, but if I wanted to watch kids or worry about them - I'd of had my own lol

When they are older I don't mind because I see value in helping out when they are old enough to remember and or listen. At this young age - I'm standing down

Our neighbors across the road (two feral children) went camping about 10 days ago for 3 nights.. temps were 100+ during the day and 90's at night. Not a chance in Hell I would go in that weather. I do want to go camping though. I've been buying some more (not needed) gear to go.

Oh I did get one thing that's kinda cool if you are storing your water in the tan 5 gallon jerry cans. This makes getting the water out of it 10x easier and it really works. So far we have only done some testing with it at the house, but it worked awesome.

I used it with this kind of water can, just slip it over the larger of the two holes in the lid.

thats pretty cool. My buddy that used to be a member here put a schrader valve in his jerry cans + a hose bib so all he does is put a little air into them off his onboard compressor and walla - you have good pressure for a while to shower off.

stole this from ex portal but it's all the same stuff

I made one of those for my jerry can lid. I need to redo the air valve so it doesnt leak but it works.
I also need to get a flat lid for transport and then just put the faucet lid on so it doesnt get in the way of holder on the swing out.

Jason did that and it worked great! It's what we used to shower and clean dishes in Moab & Colorado.

Im driving to my brothers in Colorado in 2 weeks. No real plans since I am still going to be working during the day but I will be out of the heat. I think we will hit some trails after work that are close to his house.

Yep, still use those Tumbleweeds. They work great for lighting the charcoal in the chimney for dutch oven cooking. I also have been using kiln dried kindling. I take a few of these with me to help out. Box of kindling: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077PJ925D/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
