Yeah it's pretty weird but they are trying to appeal to that version of the market that doesn't want a striker fired pistol.

When I couldn't find a compact .45 at a decent price in the communist republic, I settled for the XD .40. I could have bought a brand new one for $1200 but just didn't want to spend that cheese.

And whats that based on? De-cock Safety? I'd just buy a 1911 and call it a day if I wanted a hammer.

I wonder if Springfield has figured out a way to take-down their XD's without need to pull the trigger? That is where I would start if safety was my primary concern.

I guess I am not one of the owners that have even as much of a missed round. I guess you could say "yet." I've only owned it for a little over a year and have sent 1500 rounds through it (reloads with one-timed fired brass) - and I only base that on the fact that I bought 2000 rounds at a show right after I bought the gun and have about 500 rounds left.

Well RIP Springfield and Rock River arms....buncha dumbasses that were supporting gun rights being taken away in exchange for immunity. Smith & Wesson tried this years ago and it didn't work out for them either...

Speaking of Springfield earlier, I put a new striker retainer and a enhanced striker spring in my XDM to make sure I don't have any light primer strikes in the future. What a bitch to put back together.

Makes me wonder if some think that it's a baseball cap - Never clean it and even put some pine tar on it until the 'Series ends. Speaking of luck, I hope mine continues.
