Finally got around to getting a pic of the new shotguns. They are not fancy but they feel good and lock up solid.
The basics: Stoeger Condor Field Grade with 28" barrels in 20 gauge. They are so matched they are sequentially numbered.

Are you going to upgrade the recoil pads?
Not sure yet. Sunday we are going to shoot a 50 bird session to see how they run and get some practice with them. I found out about a local skeet shooting place I am going to see if my sandwich maker and I can shoot there weekly to get in tuned up for skeet and get the shotguns broke in. They do not feel like a Beretta but they feel pretty better than my 20 year old 870. I do plan on picking up a Skeet choke for both of the guns this Saturday.

Put some graphite on the break over hinges
Actually ordered some valve lapping compound to help seat the surfaces together. I also need to do a little work to fit shotgun to my sandwich maker a little better.

I'm going to run lines on the river this weekend and plan to take it along just in case I catch something I don't want to pull out of the water. Im going to be more careful this time but you never know what can happen on the river.

Yeah.. last time I let you take my Sig AR out.... well actually last time I saw it. Sucks about the boat though.. glad you can swim like a fish!

Both cases were delivered by the brown truck Santa today. They are pretty nice cases for price. I was amazed how much the old canvas cases are for over/under shotguns. These will be fine for my needs.
Shotguns worked great and I managed to hold my own. I shot 16/50 and she shot 15/50.
