Wish I had more pics from the range trip; but the day got weird when a gear queer showed up. I did get to do some grouping shots out of my new 6.5 Grendel setup but it was from a crappy table that moved around a lot. The vertical string is beautiful but the horizontal was not so great. Hopefully I can get some good groups later this week. The new stock for the 300 Win Mag is nice. Dang nice; but I did not get a chance to really work with it much before we left. Maybe later this week.
The three free magazines and double pistol case from Springfield also showed up over the weekend. Nice kicker to the pistol purchase.

I went to my LGS yesterday and held a new XD-M in 10mm. Feels damn near exactly like my XD-M in .40.

Someday.. I am waiting to buy a new truck first.
When I first saw that XD deal I was drooling. One of the first things I do when I move out of this state is get a XDM in 9mm and I bet that deal will be long goneI only got 1 mag with my ancient SAXD purchase.
My sammich maker got 2 full size and one compact magazine. She is pretty happy with the pistol also.
I might try to get a 10mm later on as a "hiking defense from animals" pistol.

I got a similar deal from Springfield when I bought my XD's. Only got one range bag though, but got 3 mags extra mags with each through the deal.

I am working on that as well. I really enjoy my 45ACP upper for my AR15. A 10mm would be a great fit; but if I was going to carry an AR on a hike for animal defense I would carry a 458 SOCOM SBR setup.

I hope they make an example of the idiot; but I also hope some bleeding heart lawyer group takes up his case as a civil rights issue and challenges the machine gun ban as unconstitutional. He did have good taste in optics though.

Yeah....this guy needs to be made an example. Unfortunately.
I'd love to own a full-auto, but I also prefer to stay within the law. Like them or not, we have them for a reason. Besides, who puts a long range scope on an automatic? I just don't see the point. Now if he had iron or holo sights....different story.

Get a binary trigger. Damn close to full auto and a whole lot more controllable.
Had a good trip to Houston this weekend and wrapped it up with some trigger time with @Anathollo and @SecretSquirrel . It has been a long time since I ran drills but apparently the rust knocked off quickly. We ran a handful of drills which helped me get accustomed to the slack in the trigger in my new XD Mod2 9mm. I am pretty happy with these results from when we were shooting double taps from the holster at 15 yards. Now I am looking forward to doing this again after I install an upgraded trigger.
