It's probably cheaper than the bill when we leave your ass on the trail because we said to have recovery points and someone has to come recover you. Your choice. Like I said in post #1.. if you don't have the gear required and get stuck.. we are leaving your ass. So better bring some walking shoes.

Shouldn't the Taco already have the one recovery hook on the front? Worst case i know a guy with some equipment that can make you a recovery point.

Well, I'm actually considering getting a RTT now. This trip is the motivator. Wife will soon have a roof rack on the 4R. I ordered a RCI bed rack and at some point I'll get a RTT. Looking cheap and the Frontrunner RTT is light weight and low profile.

I know the way we are planning trips has changed drastically since we added the RTT to the mix.

I'm still in the process of figuring out how that will be. I figure by the time I get the trailer on wheels and tires with the RTT in place it will be July and I will not want to camp in it .

A RTT isn't the better option with a family of 4 that likes to camp. If I can take a couple trips a year with my son or daughter to offbeat destinations it'll be worth it. My next consideration is where to store the tent when it's not mounted. It won't be mounted 365 days if I'm using it for a couple trips a year.
