Yep.. leaving today at 2:15 for a Dr appointment. Burns I suffered last week while welding upside down and having hot steel falling into my armpit and catch my shirt on fire are not healing and look like they are getting infected. Terrible place to get a burn... especially in the summer.

Came into work this morning and took a long shot asking my boss if I could take vacation tomorrow. He approved it since he already had someone wanting to come in for extra hours tomorrow. So I just have to make it 11 more hours then I can spend the day tomorrow changing out my power steering fluid and loading the rig up. Can't get here fast enough.

Gear oil in all diffs changed. Only thing left on my to-do list is get the CB tuned. I'll be working on that tonight and getting things together/ready to be packed.

I am bringing my SWR meter in case we need to tune a CB or 5. Pretty sure mine needs tuning, haven't used it in forever though.

I retuned mine last week. It was off a bit after putting the bed rack on.

I'm hoping to return Aaron's since I've had it for 2-3 years, so we should have 2 SWR meters.

Pretty sure I'm going to have to move the antenna mount to get a better ground if I want an SWR that is worth a darn. The good news is that my backyard should be big enough to get the right distance before reaching any buildings. The article I just read said 10-15 meters minimum.

So I did get confirmation that my sammich maker will be able to take the test a day early. So that puts us getting to Long Pool around 10:30 or 11 on Thursday. Now we are waiting on word back from the 2nd class professor on if there is an exam or test in that class. If not then she could leave as early as 11a that morning - which would be awesome.

Repacked the trailer.. again. Made room for all her water and tied things down a bit. I plan to run out to Home Depot tomorrow morning and grab another clear container for the passenger side box to keep it better organized. Right now all the camp towels are just laying in there.

The current Buffalo river level is 3.36 feet which is up from 3.35 at 1640 hours. Still considered very low and the forecast for Saturday currently shows less rain. We be good.
