Looks like he crashed into the woods after he blew threw that tree! Impressive.

Is that one you guys cut to make trail? Who brought the Ax Men quality saw?
That is the tree that we cut away. The chainsaw was my 16" Sthil.

Speaking of extra chains for the chainsaw....I have a PoulanPro w/ 20" bar. The chain that came with it is made by Oregon. I bought a spare 20" Oregon chain that is on the same receipt as the chainsaw. It is too long...I can have the bar at full extension and there is not enough tension. I flip to the back of the package and there is an asterisk by my chainsaw model number and says "When using Oregon branded bar" in microscopic print. So I will not be bringing my spare chain...just a file to sharpen the one.

No worries; we are going to have enough chainsaws and axes there we could level part of the forest. If we come across multiple downed trees it will be a good thing like they had on the K Trail; but hopefully we do not.

Downed trees every 50-100 yards for several miles. That was a tiring trip.

Luckily they were relatively small trees

SE Oklahoma. There were some issues with people sabotaging trails a few years ago but I have not seen reports of that since.

Just read a few quick articles on it. Something about a board with spikes in it? Wasn't sure if it was just covered by dirt/leaves or if it was put in a mud pit. Either way. I'd be pissed.

So back on topic. Getting my checklist ready for packing the truck up tonight. Still need to play with the CB a little. I got it down under 2 on the SWR last night, which according to rightchannelradio is "acceptable." I think I can make a few more adjustments, so we'll see if I can make it any better. At this point, I'm pretty much ready to go!

I have an extra chain but not sure how sharp it is but I have a file.
I also have a full bottle of bar and chain oil. I need to stop at Lowe's today and plan to grab some wedges.

All this prep work and I forgot to get a spare CV for the new ride. Luckily NAPA has a few in stock. I'll run by and pick one up. Other than that, I think I'm ready to rollout.

Jealous of you guys, I would much rather be heading to the Ozarks instead of preparing tax returns for people who couldn't get their shiz together earlier in the year!

The BBRSP December trip has room for another rig.

Last weather check on this weekend.
