I'll take those straps if they're still around, I've not yet come up with s good way to mount a gas tank skid without them

Be careful with which holes you seal up. Not sure if the m8000 is the same as my 9.5xp but the mounting configuration determines which holes to seal and which one to leave as drains. If you seal them all you will trap moisture and if you seal the wrong ones you will collect water in there. Did Chris give you a manual with the winch? Feet forward vs feet down mount determine which holes to seal

That sounds like a good plan! I have a missing clutch bolt (long one that holds the clutch assembly on) that I noticed and need to contact Warn to get. I like that idea of the breather tube, need to do that once I get that replacement bolt. (after I pull it all apart and clean it up again)

The beer is the best part of that plan.I'm sealing them all. Everything will be sealed so no moisture gets in. The moisture that does build from temp difference and gases produced from getting hot will be handled through a breather. Simply drill and tap a hole in the case, thread in fitting, attach rubber hose, zip tie to engine bay, put breather on end, & drink a beer. I haven't read what others do, but that's my plan.
No; the part where Oswego had a rig.
Still not a problem; my old 4R has not been wheeled since Jambo 2014. But now it is back in the garage getting worked on and Amazon is delivering a battery tomorrow for it. Then it will be closer to a running rig again.
