Post-Christmas K-Trail Run Discussion

I'm free from the 25th to the 31st, but would like to make our way over to Paris Arkansas for a night of stars, shine, and lakeside fire at my buddy Austin's place.

What dates can people do? I'd prefer to be back by the 30th, but can stretch that to the 31st if absolutely necc.

If anyone has trail maps or camp suggestions, let's hear them...

85.8437% Mr. & Mrs. Taco Loco are in, with no kids. My only concern is I'm waiting and expecting an upcoming suspense to hit me from the military this month.

It's a 8hr drive, prefer 5 days min, starting on/after 12/26 or 27th until 30/31st.

We spent almost 2 weeks in AR over the summer.

Shady Lake Rec Area near Mena is awesome! Spent a week there last April (18 months ago) and there was only a few other campers there. Place was beautiful.

I would rather start around Mena. I would actually like to start at highway 259 and head east. I think it would be a more enjoyable trip if we explored the National Forest.

If that's route we'll take I'll head up to Paris Ark on the 26th and can meet up on the 27th. Should be a good overnight camp on the lake there

I am going to be tied up till the 27th. We are dog sitting for a friend and 3 basset hounds for a week is going to be a hand full.
