I got the licence plate lights mounted and wired.. everything up underneath is in splitloom and zip tied out of the way. Only thing left on it is the backup camera.... and I'm not sure where I will mount it.

I had that on my truck. Turns out it is illegal. Cop stopped me and told me that it cannot be in a position in which it can not be readily read by the officer. Course that was once out of who knows how many times I did it. I would say he was a dick cop but he was really nice and let me go with a warning haha.

My old bumper had a similar setup for the 7 pin.. it too was behind the plate and it flipped up. Never was an issue.

Yeah I was worried about that happening but you could argue that 18 wheelers and DOT trucks don't even have a rear plate. They only have one in the front.

I have been pulled for no license plate a number of times. Only once did I get a ticket. I got pulled over twice in one city. The second one to pull me over told me that the area was known as a high drug and prostitution area. My client lived just a mile or so away!

Just as a side note. I always keep spare lights in my cars and truck. I never like to get pulled over for the stupied stuff - yet I still run without a plate.

I didn't put a plate on the front of the wifes new car. Could not make myself drill holes in the front of it.

Ive tried to hold out with the front plate as long as possible with each car I get. Made it almost a year with the Subaru and no front tag until one of my local LEO's pulled me over. Gave me a warning and told me to put it on - he had seen me for weeks w/out it and got tired of letting me "go". I complied within a week. Stupied Subaru has no good front mounting area so I actually had to buy a mount for it otherwise it would of just eaten off my front bumper paint. and no I didn't go the ricer route and mount it to my tow hook.
