Didn't do any wiring yet today. My Brute Force fab front bumpers D-ring mounts were only 3/4 in diameter, my D-rings with 7/8 pins didn't fit and the mount was a bit thin to use for a soft shackle. So I picked up four 1/4" thick x 3/4 ID weld washers and used a 3/4 bolt to hold them in place and then tacked them in. Removed bolt and then welded up. Next I used a 7/8's reamer and went to work. WAY harder than I imagined. Haven't completed one yet and about broke my wrist 3 or 4 times. It is a workout running it through a full inch of steel. I'm optimistic that I am more than half way through one.

One down.. one to go. Used a step bit to go in about 1/8 or so an then used a 7/8's holesaw and it went through much easier. Used the reamer to wallow it out a bit more. Still have the other one and my step bit (a Milwaukee) is pretty fucked up. So we'll see how it does. Worse case I go get another one. Will need paint when all done.

Done... well needs paint. But I got it all drilled out. Drill slipped out of my hands and ended up wedged into the bumper.. needed a pry bar to get it out. lol Glad that it done.

Ok, a little progress was made today. Got the area for my mics sorted out. Using the Magnet Mic, they are awesome! I've got them mounted on a piece of aluminum barstock that has plastic rivnuts to hold it. Feels very secure. Also got the Meso dual color map lights. A friend of mine has them I like them. Sadly the dome light is out of stock. Hope they make more.

The dome light was finally back in stock! I do need to troubleshoot my door switches though. When set to "door" the light won't shut off. Not too concerned as I normally have it set to off anyhow.

More rack progress. It's sitting on wood and bricks to allow me to line up the holes with the plates that go inside the bedrail system. I still need to wire it up, plan is to run as much wiring as I can through the tubing. I measured out the size I need to make the battery mounting plate, it will hold 2 100 Ah LiFePo batteries. Also need to install the light tabs for the side lights and the tie down mounts on top. Added some Gorilla rand traction tape to the tops of the bedrails since my wife likes to climb on it to access the loft area about the garage door, give her something firm to stand on. Got the Vision X "rock lights" mounted on the underside. WeeBoost antenna is installed, still need to run the cable to the unit I put in the cab.

Oh and I need to build the HiLift mount and weld on the shovel mount.. forgot about those.

Just laid the solar panels in place.. I will need to clearance some corners on them. Also need to drill some pilot holes for the mounting screws.

Nice progress. I'm guessing that Lambo pic above the door was probably new when it was on the wall back in your college days?

Those 100ah batteries are pretty sweet, did you get them with Bluetooth &BMS?
The performance of those batteries can't even be compared to jackery poo products.

I did not get them with the bluetooth built in... I actually didn't see the ones with BT built in until after I got the ones I got. Wish I did though. Oh well.. next time. :)

I got the wires ran from the chase light and down through the rear drivers side leg... just need to connect it to the system. Used a Milwaukee 12v battery to test everything... works. Also got the rack bolted down... will still need to remove the bolts when I weld on the Hi-Lift mount. Also going to get some stainless hardware for it with large washers.

I think I need to send the front Kings in for a rebuild. Also need to get some new Dakars, they sit fine but once I add some weight.

About 50k IIRC... maybe 45k. The Dakars have over 100k on them.

Take a pic of your dakars.

And it's time to rebuild the King's unfortunately.

I'll take a pic when I get back home... they aren't flat yet, but they are 14 years old and I am planning to add a bit more weight out back.
