I think it was the tempered from steel (yellow), or material failure, but for me look`s ok...(red)

p.t.:with this kind of things I work here in Paraguay, only a slightly bigger size..

Ahh.. much better. Used Duplicolor Engine paint with ceramic. Supposed to be resistant to oils and gas. We'll see.

VERY nice!!!

Well I pulled the 3rd member in the Taco. Yep, its the R&P that failed.. more specifically, the pinion.

OOn a side note really odd that you had a pinion failure not ring

I've probably seen a dozen taco failures and all of them were rings - never saw that one!!! Sorry for your loss!

and I get hell about my 05 rear that hasnt failed once lol. Sorry bout that though man!

can you put here a better photo from pinion ?

I'll try to take a better picture of it today. I need to charge the cameras's battery.

I was surprised too. But the ring appears to have all its teeth, although some are chipped now.

Keep it as a 'trail spare!' :D

Too bad I can't get all the broken parts I ever broken back.. weld them all together for the "Carnage of the Year" award. It would be an honorable thing that went to the person who broke the craziest part.. or something like that. LOL Hell we could add everyones broken parts to it and over time it would be so large it just sits somewhere like a statue. :D

Good call! I've seen a few 'first rear end' trophys with the ring and pinion welded together! A nice collage of parts would be sweet. A guy I knew in college had a red, crumpled Porche fender hanging in his kitchen. It was from the time he 'borrowed' his dad's car! Nice!!!

I suppose in the end it might just look like a beat up tacoma since we've broken just about all of it at one point or another. Randy alone has engine/drivetrain/body.. LMAO

Second thought - I think I could take enough carnage off of my truck right now!!! :D Rolling trophy inventory! :D My LCA would be a good contribution!

Oh that reminds me! Those effen LCAs are installed and look great! They suck with my Camburg UCAs - can't even get the alignment to a point that it won't make me look like a drunk on the road!!! NOT Good!!! The Camber is -1.5 on both sides. Now I know why I see ICON billet UCAs with those - even TC shows ICON UCAs! Looks like I'll go back to stock and 'Invest' (ToyTARP) in my sweet pumpkin!!! :D

Anyone know where to buy the 2 pin connector/sensor on top of the e-locker housing? Its the sensor that identifies if you are locked or not. When I pulled the 3rd member my friend who was helping accidentally rolled the 3rd member over and it broke the outside connector/plug. I don't even see the damn thing on IPB's.
