Oh definitelyBrap brappp

Wow...Oh the irony is soooooooooo funny....... I learned my lesson over a decade ago working for Turner. All their site PM's are strait out of college and run up the jobs cost 10-30% by running them like poop. I don't have margins like that to just "give away" so they could learn on the job at my cost so I said F Turner. Seems they still have similar issues![]()

Wow...
Cut corners and they make you bleed sometimes.Oof. Fire Marshals don't dick around when it comes to sprinkler systems.Ive had a 7 story interior fit out on hold all summer because the fire suppression system was installed wrong by a shady contractor. it's the one you and I were PM'ing about Raco. Before my tenant accepted the building their inspector caught it. It's a complete brand new sprinkler system and the word is it all needs to come out due to wrong diameter pipesCut corners and they make you bleed sometimes.
Yeah I have a similar case going on now with a door hitting someone. Luckily we have it on camera that nothing happened when that person said it did but we still have to go to court over it. That person's lawyer is an idiot. I can't give any real specifics about it at this time but it's pretty funny/sad.Woman walks into glass window thinking it was an open doorway, sues Kroger for $1 million
Not sure what your local codes are in Houston but here we have none. In NYC you must have a "distraction strip" installed within 18" above finished floor then another no higher than 60" AFF so the morons who walk around head first with their eyes shut don't walk into it. She might actually have a case if locals codes call for them & they were not installed. If the local codes do not she can sit on it and spin.
So funny that everyone puts tape in a "X" when storms come because they think it helps. Guess they see glass guys doing it. We just do it so guys onsite don't walk into it. For weeks they could be cutting corners then one day we put a wall of glass up and the temp lighting onsite usually sucks. Our glass "X's" of tape are purley cosmetic. No tape will stop your glass from breaking. May aid in clean up but thats doubtful.
