Well Fridays layoffs went well as in no BS. Apparently & hopefully everyone did not agree and 2 of 3 foremen called out today or I hope that's the case. Rather have them pull a blue flue than actually be sick, but I'm doubtful. The two that called out didn't even want the guys that were 'let go' on their job sites but who knows when union politics come into play.

My boss is calling everyone from the office and field for a mandatory 6am shop meeting tomorrow for all staff.
We have been doing our best to keep everyone separate for months including our elderly salesman and estimator who have been working from home because no one is following PPE rules here and they are 65+.
The purpose of the meeting? So the boss can get us in a group pic for Instagram
You can't make this stuff up. I guarantee he tries to get us all together and make guys take their masks off so he can bump out his chest to his buddys. Mark my words - tomorrow here will be a shit show. Guys who refuse to wear masks have already said just for the picture they will refuse to take them off because he is a douche
Not for nothing but if you want to use pictures of employees for marketing in NJ/PA you must first get their permission. I won't care if I have my mask on, but no ones using my busted mug online for selling anything or for any marketing. Had this same issue with my last company - you pay me to work - not to use my likeness online forever. You want to post pics of my face on your marketing junk or website - you are going to need to pay me a ton of $$$ and Ill make it so high they refuse thus my mug stays offline. I like my privacy

and now my financial client is asking how many guys I have onsite for our next round of installs in two weeks. He said they might want to test our guys prior to being onsite. One jackass not wearing a mask and Ive lost about 5hrs to bullcrap and he lost his job. Just got off the phone with our union BA and he said the union has nothing against it but we can't force the guys so if they say no - then no means no. I asked him if this was the first call where a client wants our guys tested and will provide the tests and he said yes. I'm not surprised. My financial client likes money so he is protecting his staff as much as he can because they are not publicly traded - they trade 4 partners money all day every day from 7 international locations.
I tried to give them some of my cash and they refused. No outside investment money regardless of the amount.

When our elected officials stop accepting bribes from foreign & domestic entities in order to keep our data unsafe so they can make money from us.
My hope is that people take their information seriously and start voting then electing representatives who believe in privacy and small efficient gubment
I'm not a huge fan of the EU but I do think they have their interweb privacy rules down pretty good. Not a fan of how they handle free speech but lets please not drink the cool aid and think one has anything to do with the other. Thats just propaganda from the scum bags in office IMHO.
My morning has been fun dealing with the legal implications my client has forced me to look into regarding all our staff being tested prior to walking on their site.....
