The politicization of the Pandemic by both sides of our crappy two party system should be enough BS for all voters to stand up for themselves and stop the madness.
We used to put Americans and their safety first.....not political parties. Politicians are all a bunch of sell outs committing treason daily IMHO

What a joke that was. I have been steering clear of the news until last night when I started watching videos of them being kicked out. I really hope there were many more protestors that left because the guys I saw get kicked out looked like there was 100 people max and thats just sad if they controlled a portion of city for this long.
Hopefully never. Free press is pretty important in a democracy, but I get what you are saying.
Hard to go against capitalism and the press is a business so I understand them wanting to make money. Pretty sure the days of unbiased news or media are long gone. Just way too much money to be made off negative clicks or posts vs positive ones. I blame humans not the press itself. If people clicked on happy stuff more than negative - the press would sell them happy stuff. you want infighting and negative worst case divisive stuff....they sell it to you. Just need to stop buying it but that will never happen. The news doesn't kill people - the people that take it as gospel do
Other avenue would be gubment news and we all know thats total crap idea, so we can't do that.
I'm starting to just think - it's going to be left up to the public to choose what they watch or listen to and thats what freedom of the press and speech is all about. I'm not a fan of disinformation, but I am willing to let a few crazies spew BS vs the alternative

Just told our staff to leave their computers on when they go home and to take all their files home as well so just in case any of my 6 guys who got tested today pops positive we can work from home even though none of our guys can work on jobsites.
Great idea having everyone in the company take pics 2 days prior to 1/3 of them being tested so everyone in the company has been in close proximity to everyone else with no masks or separation. This could literally shut down our entire company because someone "did it for the gram". I know I'm not lying on the screening paperwork I need to fill out to get onto job sites and I'm not running around potentialy spreading it if one of my guys pops positive that Ive been standing next to for 2 hrs in the same room w/no masks or PPE. Really wish these tests were instant. I do not want to have this on my mind over the weekend. Ill see if Mr Miller Lite can help with that

tis the season....falalalala Just had my first jobsite closed down due to an infected worker. Everyone that was onsite the same days as the guy has to self quarantine until they can get tested if they can even get tested. Thank goodness my guys pulled off the job right before the infected HVAC guy was onsite so we got REAL lucky there.
Sucks that my guys can't work or get paid for tomorrow because I'm sure they blew off plans but it is what it is
Funny thing is even for workmans comp they are being stingy with testing. The jobs super had to lie to get tested. First place he went said no symptoms no test. He tried to explain to them that he has to work so he needs to be tested in case he doesn't have it but they threw him to the wolves. Just made him lie to the next place he went. Such a joke that we still don't have our shit together for the working man but movie and sports stars can get tested 50 times a day or whatever those "elite" do

Test results delayed due to backlog. No idea when we will get them.

The hypocrisy here at work is simply amazing.
Everyone got out their torches and is flaming one of our guys because he just came back from Florida and is technically supposed to be self guaranteeing for 2 weeks. I then reminded them that EVERYONE that lives in NJ and has been coming into the office for months has been breaking the same protocol.
Our HR/comptroller is out sick today with a fever. Same guys got their torches and saying she needs to stay out for 2 weeks because she has a fever and is not being tested. I then reminded them of when I got an ear infection a couple months ago and was told to come to work w/no negative tests and could of been spreading it the entire time.
I find it tragic that the guys who thought "it can't happen to me" and refused to wear masks at work now become the biggest hypocrites as soon as someone close to them gets it. It's all fun and games until people start dropping around you.....then it's flame everyone and burn the ship
How about we just wear the PPE as advised and do as told so long as it makes sense and stop fucking politicizing our health and safety

5 days later and still no test results. Just had to cancel my work onsite tomorrow and pivot to another.
At this point when the results come back they will be so old - whats the purpose? Have my guys take tests prior to 4th of July weekend then take a week to get the results.... um yea... seems pointless to me because they have been out and about every day since testing, except it makes perfect sense to litigators. My client can always fall back on exceeding safety standards and doing whatever they could to insure their employees are safe.
I have a feeling all my day jobs will turn into nights and weekends on OT
