The HF US General 44" is what I originally planned to go with. But since they're the dame price currently, the Kobalt has a few features I like over the US General.

You really can't go wrong with either.
I hope the US General tool boxes have stepped up in quality. My in-laws got me a roll around box a few years ago. It has been a piece of junk since day 2. The drawers keep binding, the casters are so-so, and the whole thing feels like 20 gauge stamped steel. It does not compare well to my Kobalt tool box.

Taylor's BIL has two of the 56" (I think, they might be bigger) new series US Generals and they're nice. But the drawers slam shut easily, they dont have the built in power strip, and I think the bigger drawers only have single slides where the Kobalt has dual slides on the larger drawers.

I have 2 44" US Generals and my dad has a 56 and a 72".. they hold a TON of shit and never bind or anything. Which one did you get? Heck even my tool cart from them is strong and never gives me any issues. There is an article on Garage Journal where the guy goes around to all the different vendors (HF, Northern Tool, Sears, Home Depot and Lowes) and basically measures everything. How thick the steel is, how many bearings are in each drawer, what is the construction like (does it fold over on the edges for extra strength, etc) and he said the only thing made better than the HF US General ones are made by the tool truck... snap on, matco.

I was just looking at this guy the other day (no plans on buying one). I saw a youtube review on one randomly and checked them out. Seems to be good quality with double glides.

Lowes had this WD-40 brand industrial degreaser for $2.04 a bottle. Same stuff was almost $6 and still is about $6 on Amazon. I tried it out on the 81 and it works great.
