If your in the market for a Remington V3 check out Tanner's Sports Center on Fakebook. Offering group buy prices as low as $399 per shotgun after rebates. The IT guy at my work just got in on it. No idea how it works or if it's a scam - figure you guys are good at sleuthing good deals on your own.
The only Remington shotgun I would buy is the Versamax at this point. I've read about people getting a new Remington shotgun and the finish coating was just rubbing off or the gun was already rusting.
Also, get a shotgun that can fire 3-1/2" shells. If you go hunting with it then you'll understand why.

Versamax is on sale for $429 and the V3 is $399 if my memory is correct.

My 870 is a great gun. 20 years old. Used it for everything. I have thought about getting it cerakote since I have had it in the rain and duck blinds. Reliable as can be and never done anything to it except clean it. 3 1/2 would be nice sometimes but I have done well with 3"
That's the key. Ever since Freedom Group bought Remington, they have been cutting as many corners as they can and are currently in the process of running the Remington name into the ground.
My buddy picked up an 870 a few years back and the gun failed everytime we hunted. I got to the point where I wouldn't allow him to take it out hunting and let him borrow my step-dad's Remington 1100.
And I used to duck hunt with 3" shells but I consistently kill/drop more ducks with 3-1/2" shells.

Decent deal on marginal quality. I won't buy Craftsman again
x2. I prefer my Cresent socket set and ratches over my Craftsman set (both of which I got at the same time as Christmas gifts).
Meh for a little more I'd just get Knipex or Wera instead of Klien. Damn things rusted out on me in my electrical bag that I keep in my toolbox.
