I always wanted a metric index set, but it needs to be around $60 range before I pull the trigger on it.

Yeah I should have bought them a couple months ago, the 12pc set was under $100, I was thinking it was 3rd party of Amazon, I can't remember which store, I'm adding it to all the different websites carts now, so I can catch it on the next sale, it might be awhile if I think they will come down to $60 or so.

I have a few sets of those in the double box end indexing version. I don't like them.

They pop out of the lock position too easy. Then flop around. Box end or not, it's the same mechanics of the indexing portion.

Ive got metric and standard sets never taken out of the box Ill prob never use. Bought them for the engine swap and never needed them. Reminds me I need to return them one day because I spent WAY more than $30 per set from Home Depot lol

Tried to get them cheap at HF but they were out of stock.

I can see how they could just flop around if you can't hold them strait.

They do have a lock built into each end, but it just pops out too easily.

Well crap, you would think gearwrench would have better quality, I can see on many occasions those tools could be useful if they actually worked.

I'm consolidating two garages and trying to get closer to being a monk. I can not believe what my Brown addiction got me. No ebay receipts or Amazon receipts in sight but a number of things either in the box or used once. Like those cable cutters to cut 2/0 cable!!! lol

Well after Sears telling me since last Friday that my order was shipped and UPS stating they are waiting on the package I called Sears. Fucking shit it out of stock and not being restocked. Sooo.. snake eyes for me. Oh well. not a big deal.

The locking portion if not disturbed it solid.. but its like 1/16' of an inch to move it. So when you are using it the chances of you touching something is highly likely. I'm sure there are situations that it will work.. but I will not buy any more of them. Well heck I think I have all the sizes I need now.. to disappoint me. That being said, I do like GearWrench tools. Just not a fan of these.

I cannot knock having multiple grinders. I am probably going to pick up a 3rd grinder this winter for the garage. It is just too easy to have multiple grinders when doing lots of metal work. It saves time and keeps frustration down. Some what.
