Good timing, indeed.
Wife thought the Sequoia was still covered for oil changes and tire rotations, so she went in to get that done Friday. I get a call as I'm on my way to pick her up. "It's $110 to change the oil and rotate the tires."
Nope.
The jerk-off at the parts counter wasn't willing to do anything on a case of oil filters and told me $31 per engine air filter and that I needed 2 of them. So $60 later in oil filters and no air filter, I log into facebook to see that add.
I ordered 4 engine air filters at about $15 each, 2 cabin air filters for about the same, and a case of oil filters for $45. Total was $110 out the door. For the cost of one oil change and tire rotation, I have 60k miles worth of air filters and 100k miles of oil changes.
Had some other stuff done to the Sequoia (cracked seat surround, recall, and back seat fold down arm rest) that needed fixing and returned the original box of filters when we went back to pick it up.
That thing takes over 7qts of oil....that seems like a LOT for 3.5L. So add $60 in oil at Walmart. Oh, and I also ordered Fumoto valve for it. Amazon should deliver that today.
