Sucks man.. in early December I went to the Dr and I was diagnosed with TWO strands of the flu. Lucky me.

Nope. I've gotten the flu every year for the last 5 years. 2 of those I had gotten the flu shot and the flu was worse than the years I didn't get the shot so I skipped it this year.

So let me get this straight... they have a shitty build quality, shitty engineering and now shitty customer service? Any more shitty in the wood shed for these hacks?

Yep. Good thing I have the email. Once I get the shock back I'll have a full write up about it. I kind of want to lodge a complaint with the BBB but it won't do any good.

I know of 3 bad incidents with Icon lately but I am curious how the overall timeline lays out for their QC going to crap. There are members on here with good Icon hardware but it seems the last 18 months has had a lot of problems for Icon.

I'm not trying to dog them; but when I picked up a resi shock setup out of the box and it was already leaking then there is something wrong.

If they are trying to screw you then hide their mistakes I'd report it. If they made a simple mistake and make up for it - I'd be 50/50 on reporting it. I use the BBB and rely on it along with other sources like D&B reports to decide if I'm going to buy products or use companies. Reports would be helpful to customers like me. I was just looking up a flooring manufacturer last night for my mom on the BBB. Running a D&B on them at work today. Their ads seem to good to be true so I'm researching. With the D&B you can "assume" a WHOLE lot by how a company pays their bills. If they take care of their vendors like crap - they certainly will treat their customers worse.

The problems go back farther than that. I got mine in Oct 2014 and by Dec I had 2 rebuilt coilovers. In that same timeframe I know of one jeep and an FJ with a 6" lift that blew. So it's across their entire line, not just limited to the 4R and FJ.

Their metallurgy issues go back years. Almost as long as their poor top hat design & lack of R&D testing that never "found" the issues before they sold them to the public. They "gave" both excuses when people where having their shocks crack apart. Off the top of my head Ive gotta guess those two issues with Tacoma shocks are 4-5 years old, but I could be wrong.

Yep start threads in every forum and tag every word that's on their website and products and we will respond with our issues

Never heard of Ansonia. Been using D&B for a decade with mixed results. It's only as good as the vendors reporting the deadbeats.

I ran an internal AR report on a customer yesterday who was asking for a special favor.....he had invoices past due by 647 days. He got no such favor. I have no idea what our CFO and AR girls do. The more accounts I checked the more invoices I saw that were over a year old. I'd guarantee none of them have been reported to anyone. I was amazed at the total lack of professionalism. Any accountant that looked at our books = :risas3:
