always call your subs and friends the day prior to confirm. holy molly did my day tomorrow almost implode.
Plan was to meet a buddy and his son at lumber store at 7am, load up his car trailer full of long items & plywood, go to my house, demo siding/insulation/plywood/window/door, replace insulation/plywood, put on tyvek, go to my buddy's house for dinner then call it a day. Trailer was to come with two extension ladders w/jacks + one painters pick to stretch the gap.
Shit happens in construction so the plan "now" is to meet just him at 11am to grab materials then park them at my house.
Ladders never made it home from his job site so now I need to borrow my neighbors (he doesn't have jacks or picks) and get some labor help ASAP.
I know I could hang the sheets myself, but help would be a thousand times safer/more efficient specially 15' in the air on a ladder.
No idea how the plans got all confused, but it wasn't on my side.
Whatcha gonna do when the guy helping is a childhood friend running around and helping for free days before the holidays. We have been helping each others families out for decades. Just glad I called to confirm. Now to pivot the plans/schedule and find a location for all the materials now that they need storage vs immediate install.
